"Hard to leave"
"Stunning in every way!"
The location of the hotel was stunning-everything you could dream of from a postcard! The exclusivity of the hotel was perfect - You could choose how interactive or secluded you wanted to be with everything so personalised from the small amount of villas, personal cabana and loungers overlooking the white sand, intimate dining experiences and local entertainment. Siriak and his team were extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them to organise-thank you very much!
We would highly recommend the local village tour (don't forget to take lollipops for the little ones and a money donation for the schools) for an amazing experience; the Frangipana spa at Baraz (Thai massage with oil is superb!); snorkelling with the Water club outside Breezes and the Tides intimate dining experience. The food was sensational - thank you William!
We cannot rate the service, facilities, food and experiences highly enough! Thank you very much!" See all these reviews: 9n in Zanzibar; 4n in Tanzania

"The Palms review"
The room was very nice, and the private beach beds are a real treat. The best thing about this place was the food, which is simply amazing!. Many meals here were better than we have had at many, if not most, London restaurants. If you like your food, this is the place for you.
The staff here are lovely and friendly - Siriak (the manager) is one of the most interesting people we have met, and most impressive! He is a real asset to The Palms, as is the chef, both of which made our stay unforgettable." See all these reviews: 8n in Tanzania; 4n in Zanzibar
"Perfect Swan Song to a Dream Honeymoon"
Upon arrival you are treated and pampered and made to feel completely at home. The staff in particular are very nice and give you all the attention you would expect from a top-class, small hotel.
The hotel comprises of six detached mini-villas that are arranged around the gardens and the communal pool. The inside of the villa is HUGE and was better than the photos. Each villa had its own plunge pool outside, which would be welcome when the weather its particularly hot . Each villa also had a beach hut with sunloungers, which is good as the tide can come right up to the top of the beach. It was a perfect setting to relax with a cocktail, the beach and the sun!
The service is first class and the food was great. There is entertainment in the evening, which breaks things up and you can have lunch or dinner on the beach which is very special.
The beach was incredibly picturesque, although not the best for swimming or snorkelling. The tide is particularly strong and there was also a very strong lateral current. A dip to cool off is no problem but only strong swimmers could go further. There was always a breeze from the sea which made sunbathing very pleasant and there were also watersports available nearby and events at the neighbouring resorts if wanted.
Overall we had a fantastic week and were able to completely unwind after the safari, enjoying great service, food and soft white sand between our toes!" See all these reviews: 8n in Tanzania; 7n in Zanzibar
