Kono Kono: picture gallery

Kono Kono beach villas are situated on a stretch of pristine beach on the Michamvi peninsula.
The reception is at the furthest point from the beach..
...it leads out onto a path which takes you through tropical gardens...
...to the smart new restaurant at the front of the property.
The main bar is on the left hand side of the bar, which looks out onto the swimming pool.
The pool has stylish sun loungers around its edge...
...and magnificent views across Chwaka Bay.
The beach has acres of white coral sand and plenty of shade.
There is also a volleyball net if you are feeling active.
Between the beach and the pool is a sunken lounge which is a great place to watch the sunset from.
The 'old' style rooms are bright spacious and decorated with traditional furniture.
The rooms all have double beds and and swahili style chests.
There is an LCD TV...
...a minibar and an electronic safe...
The bathrooms have his and hers sinks...
...and a large shower.
Every room has a private plunge pool which has a view of either the sea or the garden.
The 'new' villas have simplistic modern furniture.
The new villas have four poster beds complete with a mosquito.
The new spa is built up on a raised platform above the trees.
