"Not much to say, really. It was somewhere to stay at the end of our trip.

Much more backpacker/laptop/mobile phone/just out of town atmosphere.

Good location being handy for the airport but out of town." See all these reviews: 14n in Zambia

"simple stopover"

1 night Arrived 21 Sep 2009
"Simpler than the Jaj in Luzaja this is fine for 1 night. Food OK, but not to Tafica standard.

Room is large and OK, but short on some things - soap, light, water very slow. But who cares at the end of a bushcamp visit." See all these reviews: 14n in Zambia

"No complaints. We were only there a short time but it was perfectly acceptable. All the transfers worked well.

The steaks and the pasta dish we ordered could have fed the five thousand!" See all these reviews: 14n in Zambia

"Pioneer Camp"

1 night Arrived 7 Aug 2009
"We chose to stay here as an aternative to the Taj Pomodzi which had we used on our last trip and found disappointing. The service here was efficient and much more reliable than the Taj who forgot to pick up up at the airport!. The staff were friendly and helpful, The food was tasty, although not the standard to which we had become accustomed in the bush.

Apart from the rather unpleasant water supply (brown and smelling of rust) and a dodgy shower, our only complaint was the transfer time to the sirport. We left camp at 6.30 arriving at the airport at 7.00, which meant that we were still quite a long way back in the checkin queue when they called the flight for boarding. A bit of unnecessary stress at the end of a wonderfully relaxing holiday." See all these reviews: 11n in Zambia

"Pioneer Camp - First Night"

1 night Arrived 30 Jul 2009
"We had two very short stays at Pioneer Camp (arriving around 7pm both times and departing around 6:30 am both times) I just wish we could have had a little more opporunity to see the place in daylight.

Paul was a very gracious and attentive host and took care of all our needs, including the last minute addition of another guest (another Peace Corps volunteer traveiling with us when we returned to Lusaka).. We also enjoyed meeting other travelers there, sharing stories and experiences." See all these reviews: 8n in Zambia
