"Very pleasant stay-both times!"

1 night Arrived 30 Sep 2010
"We had a very pleasant stay. On our first night we arrived late but they were able to provide dinner-which was great. The rooms very beautiful - we really could not fault them.

Breakfast was fine but the service was not good. Nobody seemed to be in charge. The buffet ran out. We had to look for someone to bring missing items etc. So that could be improved. Of all the places we stayed obviously this was the most like a normal hotel; and therefore seemed a bit impersonal. But I think that was just because of the kind of lodges we had been staying in.

The staff were very friendly.." See all these reviews: 12n in Tanzania

"Arusha Coffee Lodge review"

1 night Arrived 14 Feb 2010
"We only stayed here briefly because we arrived in the evening on the KLM flight to Kilimanjaro. The lodge was about 1 hour's drive from the airport.

We had a late dinner included and the food was excellent. Our room was luxurious, clean and tidy. The lodge was close (about 10 mins drive) to Arusha airport for our morning intenal flight.

We felt that it was a very good start to the holiday!" See all these reviews: 7n in Tanzania

"Guide needs revision!"

1 night Arrived 21 Oct 2008
"Five minutes from the airport and close to town. However beside main road which is very busy and noisy from before dawn until after dusk. Also beside the very busy Arusha airport with a lot of arriving and departing flights. Not much chance of rest if you are tired after an all night flight!

Your guide states " .....the excellent restaurant serves a spit-roasted lunchtime grill and a sumptuous a la carte dinner." On arrival we had lunch which to say the least, was not good. Selection was poor ranging from burgers to fish and chips and other appalling choices.

Far cry from the spit-roasted lunch and 5-star accolade given in guide! We went for the burgers as the best of a bad lot. Awful. I left mine. Waiter service was poor as well. For dinner that night it wasn't exactly sumptuous. It was ok....after having returned both dinners as they were cold! Breakfast was fine.

On our return we were offered a set lunch which was quite ok and the service was good. They said set lunch was on offer every day.... so i wonder why we were offered a la carte first visit. Bad waiter? Possibly. The chalets were superb." See all these reviews: 6n in Tanzania

1 night Arrived 17 Sep 2008
"This is a very practical stop over if you are going to the far reaches of Nothern or Western Tanzania. The rooms are fantastic, but the location close to the airport and the path running behind the lodges, can make it a little noisey." See all these reviews: 10n in Tanzania; 1n in Kenya

1 night Arrived 10 Jul 2008
"Not here too long less than 12 hours altogether.
Staff were good and friendly very helpful.
Room was clean and comfort.
Breakfast was ok, only meal we had here.

The Lodge served its purpose as being a stop over on the first night from Kilimanjaro Airport and then onwards to Tanangire Park." See all these reviews: 9n in Tanzania; 8n in Zanzibar
