"Not worth the value"

1 night Arrived 10 Oct 2016
"Our room itself was very nice, but lacking in privacy and the staff needed more training. Everyone was just gauging for tips and it was very uncomfortable. We had three persons taking our luggage, which we thought could have been done by one person with a cart. We tipped everyone and thanked them for the service. Then one of them came back unsolicitedly to give us towels and water (which we already had in the room), left dirty footprints all around the room, and asked for more tips.

Every staff that walked by our room would look into our room (probably out of curiosity). Because the landscape was so sparse, we didn't feel like we had any privacy and had to keep the curtains down most of the time. Aside from the manager who greeted us professionally when we arrived, it was a fairly uncomfortable stay and not at all worth the price tag.

We had a much more enjoyable time staying at the Rivertrees Country Inn on our last night in Arusha." See all these reviews: 6n in Tanzania; 2n in Zimbabwe

"Tanzanian Birthday Adventure"

1 night Arrived 14 Sep 2014
"We have overnighted at the Coffee Lodge on several occasions - at the beginning or end of a trip - and have never been disappointed.

The lodges are wonderful - spacious and well equipped with all you need and a very comfortable bed - surrounded by beautiful grounds which are great to stroll around.

The food is delicious and the wine list good.

We have always found the staff charming and helpful from the moment of arrival ( being greeted with a refreshing towel and a drink) the staff go out of their way to make your stay a great experience.

Each time we visit we say we must stay longer than just one night . Maybe next time?!!!" See all these reviews: 17n in Tanzania
