"Central Lodge review"

3 nights Arrived 18 Jun 2014
"Delightful, cozy, guesthouse in Swakopmund.

We were fortunate enought to be allocated the garden rooms and they were lovely. So very clean and tidy with every comfort. Clean, crisp bed linen and nice toiletries to revive us after the long trip down the Skeleton coast. The staff were very pleasant and helped us arrange our activities and also resolve a problem with our hire car. They made the phone calls at no extra cost and offered sound advice. Very helpful.

The breakfast was lovely, freshly cooked to order and a nice selection...... and a jar or two of home cooked biscuits for munching on throughout the day! Central by name and Central by nature it was nice to leave the car parked securely and be able to wander the short distance to town. Central guest house also had the most reliable wi-fi we encountered in Namibia!

I can't think of anything they could improve upon. We had a lovely stay in Swakopmund and I would highly recommend the Central Guest House." See all these reviews: 25n in Namibia

As it says it is central and is a good place for a stop over. Accommodation rather faded, but quite adequate for a short stay. Very convenient for stocking up in the local shops." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia; 5n in South Africa

"Central Lodge review"

1 night Arrived 3 Aug 2013
"We were given a self catering apartment which was clean but basic. The staff on reception were very off hand when we arrived but we found all other staff to be courteous and attentive. We ate in the evening at Central Lodge and the food was fine, breakfast was basic but perfectly acceptable.

From here we visited the Giants Playground and Quiver Tree Forest which are very close to the town and both were excellent visits.

When we bought the permit for the Quiver Tree Forest at Greganius Farm we discovered that the farmer had 4 cheetah which were fed daily at 4.00pm (this is not in any guide book) so we went to the feeding session and, with other visitors, were allowed into the enclosure to get up very close to the cheetahs!" "Welcome break at Central Lodge"

1 night Arrived 5 Jun 2013
"Central Lodge was very easy to find, had a certain character & safe parking in an enclosed courtyard very close to the rooms.

It was comfortable and perfectly adequate for breaking the journey south to Fish River. The staff tried very hard to please." See all these reviews: 19n in Namibia
