"Oasis in the Kalahari"
The Anib was a fantastic place to start the holiday proper. The water hole was busy most of the time plus we had to give way to an ostrich on the approach track - the only one we’d see for a week!
Food and bar/restaurant areas were great; we resisted the Sundowner bone-shaker tour at £40 pp as we prefer to eat early and the tour lasts ‘til 7.45pm - nearly an hour after sunset." See all these reviews: 22n in Namibia; 3n in South Africa; 2n in Zimbabwe

Not so fond of the food. Large buffet style.
Culture shock our first night! So many German tourists. My husband, who is a black African was asked by someone to bring him a cocktail! Not the lodges fault but it is a large place so a bit overwhelming." See all these reviews: 19n in Namibia; 4n in South Africa

We were disappointed that renting e-bikes was no longer an option but we hiked the self guided Ostrich Trail. We saw oryx and ostriches and many other birds and enjoyed the Kalahari environment.
The buffet dinner was excellent as was the breakfast buffet - tasty with plenty of choice. The dining area was stylish and all the public areas were well maintained.

It worked well as a first night as we were getting into the whole experience. The evening game drive and sun downer worked well.
Staff helpful, but less personal service than at the smaller lodges we stayed at later in the trip.

Lodge was quiet when we were there, not sure how much this might influence our stay but we liked the lodge.

We had lunch when we arrived ordered at the bar which was delicious. The breakfast and evening meals were served in a large dining room and were buffet style. Everything we had was really good with lots of choice. Only negative was that there wasn't enough sunbeds to sit around the pool." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia
