"Bush Camp: Just beautiful!"
We were upgraded from Plains Camp to Bush Camp and had the most wonderful experience. The staff were lovely and really made a fuss over our honeymoon and really made us feel welcome. The food was great and they catered for our dietary requirements.
We did the leopard tour and were not disappointed! The guide was knowledgable and made the tour fun. Would love to stay here again.
FYI, minor point: you will probably also miss the turn off from the road as the sign is at the turnoff and doesn't give you enough time to slow!" See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia
"Review of Bush Camp"
Bush Camp is a wonderful place to start or end a trip in Namibia. Each chalet is tastefully furnished and has a separate, very comfortable and shady sala from which to view the plains and its animals. The room has amazing floor to ceiling windows with private views out to the plains and a small watering hole to attract the animals. The main dining area and pool were also really beautifully done up, and Bush Camp was the first place we enjoyed spending time within the lodge itself.
The costs of the accommodations, meals and activities all go to benefit the Africat Foundation - which is a worthy cause to support!
The only issue we had was that the food was over-salted. Otherwise, the service was impeccable and staff were super-friendly. Our guide was also very knowledgeable, and we learned a lot about leopards and cheetahs.
Suggestion: While I know it is not possible to enforce a tour of the Africat Foundation, the cost of the Africat Foundation tour should be included or added to the room charge so that everyone staying in Okonjima goes to see the work that Africat Foundation does. Unless you're a repeat visitor, then perhaps that becomes an optional donation." See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia

"Amazing stay to see the africats"
The accommodation was once again amazing, with massive, spacious rooms and beautiful bathrooms.
The main building at Okonjima was great - with ample room for the kids to knock about and make friends with other kids. The food was great and the service was again wonderful.
The management staff really made us feel welcome and special, wonderful" See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia
"Wonderful place to end our holiday in Namibia"
We really enjoyed the drives, and by far the highlights of the stay at this camp was the quality of the food at dinners, the acknowledgement of our honeymoon, and - most importantly - the friendliness of all the staff. We had a wonderful guide, Ims, helped by Opari, who were both extremelly funny and friendly, open-minded and helpful, and Ims particularly knowledgeable for a guide who is only 21 years old. And of course the staff at the Camp - led by Tobias, Angel and all their other colleagues, particularly Dennis, who looked after so well in terms of drinks from the bar. Absolutely fantastic time and we felt it was definitely worth spending two days before flying back there.
We will certainly consider staying at this camp again, and will be following the work of AfriCat, as we have made a donation to the NGO already." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia
"Okonjima Plains Camp review"
The game drives use telemetry tracking as some of the animals are collared. We enjoyed our game drives and had good sightings of leopard and cheetah. We did struggle to understand why so many animals, leopards in particular, were collared. The room also had a supply of birdseed and the feeding of Honey Badgers and Porcupines at night differs from most other camps we have been to where you are actively discouraged from feeding the animals.
The food at the camp was good and accompanied by good service." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"Bush camp - a special place"
Unfortunately it was not made clear to us on arrival that each activity was to be paid for as our "itinerary" (afternoon drive, optional night hide/drive, morning drive and afternoon drive), so we ended up paying a little more for the activities than we had intended.
The lodge is focused around the drives, and allows you to get very close to leopard, cheetah, wild dog and hyena - all of which were fabulous. We also saw the elusive pangolin." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia
