"Bullsport Guest Farm review"
In comparison to all our other accommodation in Namibia it fell below the standard. Some travellers may also be put off by the fact that according to our guides in the Namib the farm was the only one that declined to sell its land to allow development of the national park and staff at the farm informed us that they have shot predators (including leopard) that have attacked cattle.
Whilst appreciating that BullsPort is working farm if we had known more about the background we would have chosen to stay elsewhere" See all these reviews: 22n in Namibia
"Bullsport Guest Farm is very enjoyable"
The morning activity was to be driven to the top of the gorge and then to walk down. The whole experience was excellent - great views and scenery, some splendid wildlife which we had not seen on other safari type holidays - and a very good walk to increase the appetite!
The afternoon "game drive" was a disappointment, we did see a couple of Secretary Birds and a couple of Oryx but, otherwise, nothing other than some farm stock and pregnant mares,
For those interested in riding, I imagine that this could be an amazing place for a longer stay." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia
"Nice hill and canyon walk at Bullsport"
We were made very welcome, and the rooms were excellent. Meals were served at one large table where family, staff and guest all ate together. That worked very well once the introductions had been made and conversations initiated!
We did a short walk along the foot of the mountains on the first evening, which was pleasant - Kudu, mountain zebra.
The next day we did the bullsport's 17km walk up into the mountains and down a canyon with springs and pools. This was a very nice walk, although we did not see many animals, there was a great range of scenery and plant-life." See all these reviews: 26n in Namibia
"Good place for a stopover"
"Bullsport"
Went on a couple of walks and on the second found the gate at the end of a two hour walk that the gate was locked and not climbable. The hosts knew we were taking this walk and were not very apologetic. Managed to get through eventually. Same problem would have occured for others next day had we not advised them!" They apologised for the locked gate and explained that this is a new
measure to prevent drivers from incorrectly crossing private property. As
a result of these travellers feedback they have added a note to their
trail maps reminding travellers to take the gate key. They also advise
that all walkers inform staff of their plans before they set out on a walk.

"Büllsport Disaster"
I sat next to a man at dinner on the first night who did not direct one question to me: the next day I accosted him and discovered he was indeed Mr. Sauber, the owner, so we had to do our own introductions. We asked for a guide but were told that they had to be 'ordered' a day in advance: we had not been informed of this. When Mrs. Sauber returned 24 hours later, the atmosphere changed, but this was too late for us.
The low walks we were able to do were not all that interesting (very few animals) and we were plagued by flies: the two most interesting walks (for which we needed a guide!) are not suitable for someone with vertigo, like me. It is the low season for Büllsport and we certainly felt as if we were not important.
Our room was one of the new ones and it was good: the older rooms did not look very appealing.
Büllsport is not a place I would send anyone: however IF you are interested in horses or IF you have a head for heights it could be interesting but for a maximum of two days, never three." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia
Bullsport were concerned that these clients were unhappy with their stay and would like us to point out that their guest farm offers a simpler style of accommodation in comparison to the formal surroundings and more organised activities of a lodge. In Bullsport's case, being small and owner run with a low number of staff, they do need some notice in order for a guide to be available, unlike some of Namibia's larger (and more costly) lodges. Having said this, a guide is not necessary for any of their trails, which are well marked and maintained, and horse riding can be booked on arrival, so it is rarely an issue.
Bullsport are sorry that these guests' stay did not live up to their expectations and that the situation was not handled well.
