"6th trip, and best ever!"

I visited Namibia between 16 Oct 2015 and 3 Nov 2015
"Thanks Tracy for organising such a fabulous trip, it all went like clockwork, and was so well thought out, thanks to EA we seemed to get the best rooms, in several places, in fact another guest asked how we managed it!

All the stays suited us perfectly, we really felt that it was all tailored perfectly for us.

The trip guide was really helpful, and the guide book well used." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"Our October 2015 three week trip to Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 23 Sep 2015 and 14 Oct 2015
"Overall it was an excellent trip. Namibia is one of the safest and friendliest countries in Africa and better value than most Safari destinations.

Some long distances to drive but easy traffic free roads and interesting scenery. A variety of scenery with coast, canyons, massive sand dunes and game parks. Lots of animals to be seen in Etosha which while not a beautiful African Safari Park it is excellent for game viewing round the waterholes where everything gathers. Some interesting Lodges in excellent locations to stay at who make you very welcome.

Expert Africa were very helpful in our planning for the trip with no pressure to book anything - just good patient advice. All the logistics they arranged worked perfectly. So thank you Sabina Hekandjo and Expert Africa who I would thoroughly recommend.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

The service was excellent and I can think of little that Expert Africa could have done to improve anything so please keep up the good work and I hope your company continues to be successful." Read full review: 21 nights in Africa; 21 on a Namibia trip

"A month in 2015"

I visited Namibia between 15 Sep 2015 and 15 Oct 2015
"If we went back I would go or 3 weeks not 4 and skip the part south of Swakopmond.

Wolwedans not worth the premium. Sossusvlei over-hyped.

Country excellent and the locals very helpful. Stunning scenery.

Africat / Okonjima, Etendeka and Skeleton Coast were highlights

Martha was a star. Shame she's not there any longer." Read full review: 30 nights in Africa; 27 on a Namibia trip

"Amazing trip!"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 31 Jul 2015 and 19 Aug 2015
"We had an amazing time in Africa and loved our trip. All the places to stay were nice and pretty much everything we did was enjoyable.

Most disappointing thing was cancelled balloon flight but that was out of anyone's control.

Thank you for arranging it and we would definitely recommend Namibia and Expert Africa to others. Didn't want to come home!" Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"Fascinating and educational"

I visited Namibia between 3 Jul 2015 and 13 Jul 2015
"We loved the trip. We were surprised by how well developed much of the tourist infrastructure is in Namibia, how easy and accessible travel is throughout the country, and how friendly and welcoming the locals are. The pace was quite exhausting, but we expected that going in. If we were to have a redo of the same trip, I would extend it by about a third, so we would have a better balance of driving to having time for actual activities.

Generally everything went according to plan and we got to see and do things we planned on seeing and doing. One thing we did not get to do was visit Skeleton Coast NP, because that is a full-day activity from Swakopmund, and our one full day was partly taken up by the kayaking trip. The one change I would have made to our itinerary would be to skip the last night in River Crossing and instead have 3 nights/2 full days in Swakopmund, so we would have had time to go to Skeleton Coast park and drive from there straight to the airport for our evening flight home.

We were very happy with the places we stayed in. There were a few minor hiccups, inevitably, as I describe in my detailed comments on accommodations, but overall everything was great and we were very happy with the choices." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 8 on a Namibia trip

"A wonderful 5-week adventure"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 1 May 2015 and 5 Jun 2015
"This was a fantastic trip. We spent 25 days doing a full circuit of Namibia - everything we expected and far more.

I expected it to be all desert, but I never knew how many different kinds of desert there are and what amazing landscapes and geology Namibia has. Nor did I realise what a fantastic variety of wildlife and birds there are.

We chose to have a driver/guide and it was well worth every penny - he not only took all the strain of the long drives, he was also an astonishing fund of knowledge and expertise. WIthout him, we would not have seen half the things we did, nor appreciated what we did see half as much.

Then we had 9 days in the Okavango Delta, a truly amazing place where the concentration and variety of wildlife is quite extraordinary. Very good guides provided by the lodges to find all the animals. The days were filled with great experiences.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

We had a fanatastic time and no complaints at all. However, we did find that quite a few of the lodges etc were really rather over the top in their attempts to emulate 4- or 5-star hotels. It's a matter of personal preference, but we actually felt more comfortable in the places that didn't try quite so hard and were perhaps a little more authentic in their atmosphere - like Etendeka and Kwara.

If I had known better what the range of options was, I could probably have explained this to Tracy at the beginning. So my suggestion would be that your agents could maybe spend a little more time getting to know what the client's expectations are and what kind of experiences they are looking for, and discuss the options, to enable them to make better-informed choices.

My impression is that, because I didn't have a limited budget, the assumption was that we would automatically prefer the most up-market places; that doesn't apply to us and maybe others are the same." Read full review: 35 nights in Africa; 25 on a Namibia trip

"Southern Namibia in March 2015"

I visited Namibia between 28 Feb 2015 and 14 Mar 2015
"Expert Africa could not have been more helpful - this is our second trip with them and we would definitely use them again.

Namibia is an amazing country. The people are friendly, the roads are ideal for self-drive with a little bit of adventure thrown in, and the lodges are consistently of good quality.

There is something for everyone here - deserts, wildlife, tranquility and excitement. Highly recommended." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"Brilliant trip"

I visited Namibia between 17 Feb 2015 and 8 Mar 2015
"Enjoyed the diverse landscapes, vastness and quiet. Game experiences were excellent.

A 4x4 is in our opinion essential - from a comfort point of view as well as peace of mind. A good itinerary and next time we would have a few more 3 night stops, rather than 2 nights to allow us to see more and relax. Good overall standard of accommodation. No problems with navigation because of information and marked map provided.

An exhilarating experience." Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 17 on a Namibia trip
