Wolwedans not worth the premium. Sossusvlei over-hyped.
Country excellent and the locals very helpful. Stunning scenery.
Africat / Okonjima, Etendeka and Skeleton Coast were highlights
Martha was a star. Shame she's not there any longer."

Etosha Safari Lodge

Buffet for breakfast and dinner - very good."

Dolomite Camp
"Dolomite"
Lengthy power cuts. Inter-room phones out of order.
Food dire (although 'light lunch' was fine)"

Etendeka Mountain Camp
"Etendeka"
Location out of this world. Superb.
Chef needs changing - or 'drying out'
All seems a little haphazard"

Terrace Bay
"Terrace Bay. You've got to go!"
Staff are all trying their utmost in the most out of the way location imaginable.
We loved it - for one night!"

Cape Cross Lodge
"Cape Cross"
Better to book B&B as accessing the a la carte menu when on DBB takes some discussion.
The a la carte is great.
Nearby seal colony passes a good half-hour, but when you've seen the first 500 you've seen enough."

Cornerstone Guesthouse
"Cornerstone"
Laundry service to be recommended.
Eat at 'The Tug'"

Hoodia Desert Lodge
"Hoodia"
Michael the guide was the best of our trip. Really good chap.
Rooms are getting a little tired."

Wolwedans Desert Lodge
"Wolwedans. Over-rated."
The two San guides on the morning walk with the bushmen were both really good.
Tents a bit 'slack' which does not help sleep.
The fixed dinner at 2000hrs was not. By the time everyone arrived and we sat through a comic introduction to the chef it was easily after 2100hrs. Too late.
Wouldn't recommend or return"

Eagle's Nest
"Eagles Nst Chalet"
Accommodation exceptional. Very tasteful and well built.
Access to the end two chalets is narrow - I scraped the car, but it was my fault."

Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch
"A bit of a gamble!"
Canned cheetahs unnecessary.
Power was on and off constantly."

Eningu Clayhouse
Guides excellent. Manager very helpful"
