"A brilliant, trouble free trip"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 3 Sep 2014 and 7 Oct 2014
"After spending months planning our trip and then refining it with Tracy, it more than lived up to all our expectations. Everywhere over our 3,500 trouble free kms driving ourselves around Namibia and 32 nights of luxury tents and lodges in the most wonderful parts of Namibia and Botswana we were met with warm welcomes, friendly smiles and staff and guides determined that we would enjoy what they had to offer. The arrangements Tracy had made worked smoothly, our flight transfers in Botswana all went to plan.

Everywhere we stayed, we wished we could have stayed longer.

We were particularly impressed by Wilderness Safaris wherever we met them - as agent, lodge operator or transfer operator.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

We cannot think of anything that could have been done better!" Read full review: 34 nights in Africa; 23 on a Namibia trip

"Another trip of a lifetime!!"

I visited Namibia between 7 Jun 2014 and 6 Jul 2014
"Our trip to Namibia was stunning and more than we could have hoped for. We can't thank Expert Africa enough for making our limited budget go as far as it did! Sabina managed to arrange some outstanding accomodation for us.

Everywhere we went it was noticeable that the lodge owners had only good things to say about Expert Africa and your handling agents in Southern Africa, (Wilderness Safari's?)

I would just to to say thank you so much for organising our trip. We hope to be in touch again soon to arrange another adventure!!!

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Keep up the good work. You clearly have a good reputation in Southern Africa so you must be doing something right." Read full review: 29 nights in Africa; 25 on a Namibia trip

"My Jun 2014 trip"

I visited Namibia between 5 Jun 2014 and 26 Jun 2014
"We had an amazing time. All the arrangements worked well. The accommodation was of a high standard and we were very impressed by the friend and efficient service that we met everywhere we travelled. We were so pleased you highly recommended a spare wheel as we don't know how we would have coped without it. Some of the days required a lot of driving over gravel roads which would not be for the faint hearted. Shame some of the money being spent on widening the road near Windhoek is not being used to upgrade the tourist route to Seisriem. However, that is not the fault of Expert Africa. We have already recommended your company to friends and are full of praise for your website which gave us all the information we needed in order to put the trip together." "Expert Africa made this a trip to remember!"

I visited Namibia between 26 May 2014 and 24 Jun 2014
"From our first meeting with Sabina we were confident that this very special trip was going to be one to remember. She quickly realised what we wanted from the trip and developed an itinerary which met or surpassed our expectations.

Since our return, Sabina has been quick to help resolve a couple of minor issues.

We are delighted with the quality of service provided by Expert Africa and their staff and are more than happy to recommend them to anyone making their first visit to Namibia.

We found the Bradt guides to be very informative and accurate - there was not much we wanted to know that was not contained within their pages. By the way, contrary to advice given, $200 notes were accepted everywhere!

"Excellent trip"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 10 Apr 2014 and 28 Apr 2014
"We really enjoyed our holiday. Namibia is a great country and the scenery is spectacular.

If I was doing the trip again I wouldn't have stayed a night in Namtib Desert Lodge but would have put in a night at Quivertree Forest after our stay in Fish River Canyon. We stopped here for a couple of hours on our way to Luderitz, but we wished that we had more time and were able to see it at sunrise and sunset.

The driving was mostly fine in our high clearance 2WD. The only roads that caused us problems were the access track to Polentswa lodge and the D707 north of Namtib Desert Lodge where the road is basically sand for a 20km stretch. I would recommend that in future you only recommend this road for people in a 4WD and that you recommend the C13/C27 route for anyone in a 2WD. I think that even though this is longer it would be much faster as the D707 is in a pretty bad way once you get North of Namtib Desert Lodge. The scenery doesn't get really good until the C27 near the Namib Rand reserve.

We had an issue at Polentswa lodge, however, this was quickly resolved - thank you for your help with this. I would recommend that you clarify the current situation regarding night drives and other activities with the Ta Shebube lodges and update your website accordingly. We were really impressed by the quality of the Ta Shebube Rooiputs lodge - we had a great time there and saw some great animals.

I would have liked to have one or two nights on the Mata-Mata side of the national park as well as Rooiputs, as the wildlife and birds are quite different here to Rooiputs, but all the park accommodation was full so it was not possible. However, I would recommend this for future guests if the accommodation is available." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 8 on a Namibia trip

"My Feb 2014 trip"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 4 Feb 2014 and 28 Feb 2014
"Very good holiday. As it was a trip to the unknown we needed assurance on safety etc. 4wd drive essential. The double cab pickup we had was ideal. Small car option with 4wd not good enough. We had to help someone stuck in the riverbed.

Would have been helpful to have had stopping points on journey pointed out eg petrified Forest. Was very glad not to have stayed at Ludderitz ( did you recommend Nest Hotel ?)

2 failed card payments gone through bank although failed at the time at Fish River Lodge, so paid cash. Will try to recover through credit card company or will be back to you" Read full review: 24 nights in Africa; 17 on a Namibia trip

"Trip to Namibia in January 2014"

I visited Namibia between 7 Jan 2014 and 22 Jan 2014
"Fabulous country - brilliant scenery, good accommodation, lovely food, friendly people

Couple of minor hiccups sorted out.

Only disappointment was lack of air con and ice at Desert Homestead which was otherwise a great place to stay.

Book on Namibia was very helpful. We read ahead before each change of location. It was helpful to know the best places to stop on the long car journeys

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

January is so hot - should always recommend air-con.

But we were very satisfied overall and are happy to recommend Expert Africa to anyone considering a holiday to Namibia," Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip
