"Highly Recommended"

I visited Namibia between 8 Jun 2008 and 21 Jun 2008
"Wonderful. Namibia is a fantastic country - full of experiences, surprises and delights.

The ExpertAfrica service was helpful, efficient and reassuring. The attention to detail in the documentation is impressive - as is the information available in Chris's book - which we took with us. Everyone at the lodges spoke warmly about the ExpertAfrica team - the work you do in visiting the lodges clearly pays dividends.

I normally plan and book all holiday arrangements myself, direct with hotels, airlines, car hire etc. It is a testament to Gwynneth that I booked this trip with ExpertAfrica, because I normally like to retain control. Her approach was supportive and in no way pushy. I felt that in trusting her to make the arrangements, she was definitely adding value.

She also called on her colleagues for more specific information about lodges she had not stayed at personally. Talking to someone about places they know well, and experiences they have had personally is a great feature of the service - even if you discover that you don't always want/like the same things. The level of interest in the trip is also an indication that EA are truly interested in their clients' experiences.

The only thing I would say is that I think it would be good if there were more details provided within the lodges about activities and facilities (generally speaking they tell you things verbally, but don't always have anything for you to refer to). I also felt that the guides could do more to tell people in advance what they are going to do, how long things might take etc. Normally this doesn't matter - you're on holiday! But sometimes it could be important, and coming back 1-2 hours after you were told you'd be back woulnd't be ideal! Maybe they could wear watches....that might help!" "Superb holiday"

I visited Namibia between 30 May 2008 and 20 Jun 2008
"One of the best holidays we have ever had - superb accommodation in a series of wonderful locations. Well organised by Expert Africa.

We will go back one day but with a 4WD this time (not for the extra traction but for comfort in bouncing across the ruts), There was a wonderful feeling of 'adventure' about the trip without it being too scary!

Suggestions for improvement:

Not really apart from my comments on 4WD carhire above. We enjoyed designing our own itinerary but also found your suggested tours helpful in this process." Read full review: 21 nights in Africa; 18 on a Namibia trip

"Great experience of remoter Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 24 May 2008 and 10 Jun 2008
"Fantastic despite travelliing for 16 days without our bags.

All the Lodge Managers were very helpful and we did not have to burden ourselves with the admin of this problem.

Suggestions for improvement:

Keep up the good work!" Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"Very well planned and worked out. Overall, the game viewing in the Caprivi strip was not quite as rewarding as our trip to the Okavango delta a couple of years ago. Next time, we might want to combine the two countries." Read full review: 32 nights in Africa; 28 on a Namibia trip

"Fulfilled all our expectaions"

I visited Namibia between 19 May 2008 and 31 May 2008
"There is no comments section for internal flights between camps. [Ed: this refers to the 'feedback form' which these trvellers filled out about their trip] These were fine and we had no problems. Our pilot for one of our flights, Eric (or Erich) was particularly helpful.

Really enjoyed the whole trip. The suggestions by Expert Africa were all good, as was the time spent at each location.

We would not do it differently if we planned it now!" Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 9 on a Namibia trip

"Please can we go again"

I visited Namibia between 9 May 2008 and 25 May 2008
"We didn't want to come home, we want to go back, we already have ideas and have started saving - what more can we say.

Things we'd do differently - put in a three night stay somewhere. We were really please only to be staying one night in Swakopmund, it was definitely out of season.

Something to consider is to take Air Nambia flight home to Europe (Frankfurt) and do hop to UK from there rather than Windhoek/Jo'burg/Home. Gives a longer last day and the Air Namibia flight was nicer.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

We found the service very personal - it took sometime to sort but was well worth it in the end - this is one of your strengths as a company because you do care where your customers go, don't lose sight of this." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip

"Marvellous Namibia"

I visited Namibia between 9 May 2008 and 23 May 2008
"For a first trip to Namibia with the desire to see what we wanted to see, this couldn't have been any better (unless it had been twice as long, then we could have spent twice as long in each place).

We are left with a desire to go back and spend longer at a few choice places - anywhere other than Swakopmund! - and try a few others e.g. Caprivi Strip. The lodges exceeded our expectations and even Okaukeujo turned out better than we hoped.

The biggest impression was made by all the staff at the lodges. As the public face of Namibia they have a lot to be proud of and could teach hotel staff around the world a thing or two about hospitality. Even car refuelling was a delight with happy singing windscreen washers.

The trip went without a hitch, so Expert Africa's organisation was excellent." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 9 on a Namibia trip
