"Palmwag Lodge review"

1 night Arrived 24 Aug 2008
"Beautifully located, with view at the funnyshaped vulcanic mountains. Looks like an oasis in the desert (which it actually is) .

Palmtrees and reed where thousands of buntings gather for the night: very spectaculair. Spectaculair view from the tent!
We only stayed overnight here, so, we can't give any comments on the 'activity'part." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia

"Palmwag Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 31 Jul 2008
"After Doro Nawas, Palmwag was more lively - it was good to be able to follow walking trails there, instead of having to drive or be driven. I liked the mix of people at Palmwag. The management, however, was a bit lacking and the place does not seem to know whether it's going to cater for campers or up-market lodge travellers.

Wonderful sunsets and an excellent bar. The food was pretty good, too, and the staff helpful. There's a lovely garden with a bar and lots of butterflies.

The cabins are relatively simple, but very comfortable, with nice little porches where you can sit and have a beer." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia

"We were pleasantly surprised by Palmwag. All the animals wandering around the lodge were a real highlight.

The swimming pools were very nice and although it was quite big, it still felt quiet and relaxing." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"Peaceful Palmwag"

2 nights Arrived 21 Sep 2007
"Palmway was in a beautiful and peaceful setting. The accommodation is spread out along the river bed where elephants wander from time to time. The reeds along this river bed supply excellent cover for huge flocks of birds whose wing beats, in that quantity, were astounding.

We were told that the management no longer recommend you walking out of the camp by yourselves but did not stop you from doing so. Quite a few folks (including ourselves) did walk, but just take care of the elephants around the riverbed area.
You can pay a guide to will walk with you if required." See all these reviews: 13n in Namibia

"SUPER LOCATION."

1 night Arrived 23 Aug 2007
"WE FOUND PALMWAG TO BE THE LEAST FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL OF ALL OF THE PLACES WE STAYED.

tHIS WAS MADE UP FOR BY THE ELEPHANT! hE WAS OUTSIDE OUR TENT WHEN WE WOKE UP LIEING IN THE GRASS. TIM NEARLY WALKED INTO HIM IN THE LONG GRASS!

tHE FOOD WAS GOOD AND THE WAITING STAFF FRIENDLY, BUT THE MANAGEMENT WAS INDIFFERENT. fOR EXAMLE, WE HEARD STORIES ABOUT THE ELEPHANT AT OUR NEXT PLACE THAT WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE.

wE TRIED A SELF-GUIDED WALK, BUT THE WAY WAS NOT CLEARLY MARKED AND SO WE JUST MADE UP OUR OWN ROUTE!" See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"Amazing location"

2 nights Arrived 11 Aug 2007
"Nice warm welcome on arrival

Restuarant staff and process was disorganised, and the food on the first night was terrible

Our room was nice, with a good view, but there were a couple of holes in our mostiuquto net which made it a but useless -
small things like this are easy to fix and should be

Honab day trip was really good" See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia
