"A beautiful spot on the river"

1 night Arrived 27 Sep 2013
"Nunda lodge was a lovely spot, with lots of activity on the water.

The staff did everything very correctly and efficiently, but with no joy, which was unlike anywhere else we had been. A couple of times we did feel we were inconveniencing them.

Food was excellent.

Rooms were lovely, quite a long walk to the restaurant, past camping sites.

Gardens were beautiful, very well cared for." See all these reviews: 24n in Namibia; 2n in South Africa

"Nunda Safari Lodge review"

1 night Arrived 13 Sep 2011
"The place was dark and gloomy, the chalets were full of bugs and the moskito nets were full of holes. We complained about the situation and no action was taken. The fising activity were a lot more expensive than the other lodges, but the chef gave good service by cooking our catch. It was not possible to lock the chalet in order to keep bugs out, so stay in the tents if you choose this place" See all these reviews: 20n in Namibia; 2n in Zambia; 1n in Botswana

"Nunda Safari Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 20 Jun 2011
"What a stunning room - we couldn't have asked for more. We had 2 seperate sleeping areas, the 'main' bedroom opened out to a spectacular view of the river where we could see and hear the hipp'os grunting, the bath and shower looked right over the river - what a treat !

On our first evening the local school game and sang and danced for us - this was a lovely touch and allowed us some interaction with the local community. It was great that the staff came around all the rooms about 1hour before hand to let us know that it would be on otherwise we would still be in our room gazing out at the sunset !

The food was lovely - there were a couple of large groups in at the same time as us but they managed to get everyone 'fed & watered' with no problems.

We were 'fortunate' to see a Black Mumba snake whilst we were at the lodge .. one of my son's highlights !

We didn't partake in any of the activities on offer but we did go for a safari self drive into the local national park - well worth it for a few hours activity." See all these reviews: 20n in Namibia; 5n in Mozambique; 4n in Zimbabwe; 2n in South Africa; 2n in Botswana

"Okavango River peaks again"

2 nights Arrived 21 Apr 2011
"Magnificent location on the banks of the Okavango River - which was just peaking slightly below last year's big flood. We arrived to find the deck and wine cellar under water, but living areas still all ok. Many nearby lodges hadn't fared so well and were closed down. Consequently, facilities here a bit under pressure and when an unexpected bus load arrived for dinner, our servings were a bit lean. Very little available for lunch.

We enjoyed the evening boat cruise on the river to Popa Falls, and some vey good Hippo viewing from the boat just on sunset. Highly recommend this trip, very enjoyable.

We stayed in chalets right on the river bank, so very close to the water, Hippos were coming ashore to graze on the lawns, so were were escorted safely to our rooms by staff at night. Rooms were secure, good beds and mosquito nets, although bathroom area not totally enclosed at top. Water heated by staff lighting the individual wood burners for each room." "Nunda Safari Lodge review"

3 nights Arrived 3 Oct 2010
"We did not like Nunda (this was my fault I asked for it) the bungalow or chalet was in fact partly tent and the bathroom was a bush bathroom with no door between it and the bedroom.  They rely on a generator so no air cond. and no proper lights.

Not particularly welcoming people.  We stayed one night and checked out and went to Mahanga (which had I listened to Sabina is where we should have been)." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia
