"Excellent safari at Naboisho"

4 nights Arrived 29 Sep 2017
"Top class tents with separate sitting areas, views over the plain and occasional sounds of antelopes thundering through the camp at night

Choice of indoor shower or outdoor bucket shower.

First time we have had a female guide Evelyn, who was very knowledgeable and a competent driver with a fascinating life story." See all these reviews: 16n in Kenya

"Perhaps not as good as they think they are?"

4 nights Arrived 5 Sep 2017
"We were expecting so much and were disappointed.

Facing a plain with plenty of mammals, the camp is set in a pretty but not spectacular position. The general areas are lovely and the tent also very comfortable and large. The beds were delightful as I soon found out as I'd picked up a stomach bug so got into bed for the first 36 hours with a couple of hot water bottles!

As with Rekero, breakfast was taken out on the drive where our guide found a pretty and comfortable spot to sit. Lunch was buffet style and dinner was a choice of two mains and served plated.

The staff were pleasant but the main issue was that most staff were geared to dealing with a large party of journalists so we very much felt a them/us situation as it was just two of us who weren't part of the group.

We were disappointed that nobody from management could be bothered to say goodbye to us on our last morning as we left camp yet at Rekero we had a send-off from three members of staff at 4.15am. Maybe our money wasn't as good as a repeat, large group ...?" See all these reviews: 17n in Kenya

"Fantastic few days at Naibosho"

3 nights Arrived 6 Aug 2017
"We really enjoyed it here. Della and Rich were excellent hosts, as were the rest of the staff.

We had a huge rain storm while we were there which turned the whole area green in a matter of days. It was an amazing transformation. The volume of wildlife both in the Naibosho Conservancy and in the Mara itself was amazing. Unfortunately we didn't get to see a crossing but it is the luck of the draw.

The tents, accommodation, food and service at the camp were all excellent.

We would highly recommend Naibosho but would also recommend combining it with a few days in the Mara National Park itself." See all these reviews: 7n in Kenya

"Safari at Naboisho Camp"

5 nights Arrived 5 May 2017
"This is my second time at Naboisho Camp and again I received excellent care and service.

I requested the same guide, Benjamin K. I had before as we had become friends. Ben was my guide again and he is the excellent, making sure I saw what I wanted and much more.

If I can I will return here again. All those who work there were great." See all these reviews: 7n in Kenya

"Naboisho Camp review"

4 nights Arrived 14 Jul 2016
"Very enjoyable experience indeed. "Tent" was excellent (really a tent erected under a permanent thatched canopy) and the food was outstanding for such a remote location, in my view.

My first time on safari, so I don't have any direct comparisons, but it was all well beyond my expectations. I was fortunate to have convivial fellow travellers so that the whole ambience of the camp was more like a house party than anything else.

Well hosted, well guided, excellent service, excellent food. I would have been happy to stay indefinitely !

A very relaxing experience in a very exciting environment." See all these reviews: 5n in Rwanda; 5n in Kenya

"A lovely end to our holiday"

4 nights Arrived 9 Mar 2016
"We were met at the airstrip by our guide (Nabala) for the next three days, and had quite an exciting drive back to camp, including getting stuck in the mud and necessitating being towed out. Nabala proved to be a most entertaining and knowledgeable guide and always went the extra mile to find all the things we would like to see (even though his driving style did leave us a bit battered and bruised!!).

Roelof and Helen were charming and attentive hosts - one of them always there to greet us and hear about what we had been doing. Moses the manager was always on hand and absolutely brilliant, nothing was ever too much trouble, all our wants and needs carefully attended to by him, including wake-up calls with coffee in the morning, confirming flights and checking us in on the International flight and booking a restaurant for us in Nairobi. One of them always joined us for meals which were quite lively. The humour of the waiting staff was delightful.

We had a fantastic three hour walk with Roelof who, again knew exactly where to find everything and where to position us for the best light for photographs. The walk was incredibly informative and fascinating. One of the highlights of our stay here.

The lodge was lovely and we could watch the animals grazing in the distance (and hear lions roaring at night).

On our last morning we had a lovely breakfast in the camp (our first as the rest were on drives) with Helen, Roelof and two of their friends who were visiting. they gave us a great sendoff and we were sad to leave." See all these reviews: 12n in Kenya

"Fantastic Naboisho"

5 nights Arrived 29 Feb 2016
"This was our second camp in the Mara as we wanted to experience the Mara in a conservancy. And, yes, it does make a difference, incredible wildlife viewings but without the "crowds". This is part of the Asilia group and offers all the luxuries and impeccable food, hosting and service one would expect.

The location of this camp deserves special mention, our "tent" was located in front of wide open savannah - what more can one say about such a place? We loved it and although we don't usually revisit any location (unless it's to see wild dogs, of course) we may pay this gorgeous camp another visit in the future. Oh, and the big cat sightings were simply breathtaking. AND we saw two Honey Badgers being hotly pursued by a lioness on a game rich plain.

Perfection." See all these reviews: 15n in Kenya

"Naboisho Camp review"

4 nights Arrived 14 Feb 2016
"Naboisho exceeded all expectations and the tents, staff, activities (game drives, school and village visit and game walk) were all fantastic. Food was exceptional. Guiding by Tim was very informative and his added interest in photography ensured that we always had the best spot when game viewing. The camp staff and Tim ensured that both I and my 10 year old got every ounce of enjoyment out of our 4 nights at Naboisho which was hugely appreciated. Thank you to you all." "Great camp, great guiding, beautiful place"

4 nights Arrived 5 Jan 2016
"The camp is beautifully maintained, with luxurious tents in the bush, really good food, great guides and the camp managers are great at their jobs -- Helen and I were pleasantly competing for "she who tells the funniest stories" - I believe that Helen won; she and Roelof are both very knowledgeable; we enjoyed walking with Roelof in the bush and learning from him as we were immersed (up to our hips in grass!), his strong understanding about conservation and the issues faced was powerful

We loved our tent and its extraordinary nightlife, along with the askaris (guards)' close attention. Our guide, Daniel, and our spotter, Rakita, were terrific. We had Daniel the whole time, and he is an aware, awesome guide, very attentive. I will treasure our last sundowner, singing back and forth with the two of them -- just a wonderful, unplanned connection. Even with the tall grass, we had excellent game viewing.

I'm not sure if my favorite was the first drive with quick spotting of some of the lions and then Daniel saying 'oh, there's the leopard,' so that we saw both within the first few minutes of the first drive. Or maybe it was the day we spent an hour with the 4 cheetahs, watching the youngsters playing, just us and the cheetahs - this is why we travel so far.

Thank you, all the Naboisho people." See all these reviews: 11n in Kenya
