"We had attempted to book a two way stay with a car hire for a good part of it, and the first few either refused or discouraged that idea even though our daughter is serving for two years in Botswana. Maruska was a pleasure to deal with, encouraged and supported what we wanted to do, and pulled together a seamless trip from start to finish.

The transfers by Wild Horizons were spot on and she worked to find the exact vehicle we wanted. All of our accommodation bookings were perfect. "How do we even begin?! As our very first experience of Africa this was an absolutely incredible trip. The camps we stayed at were fantastic, we saw everything we came to see (and more!) and the Delta is an even more stunning location that we could have imagined.

The logistics around the whole operation were seamless - we didn't have to worry about a single element of transport as it was all expertly taken care of. We felt very looked after and ultimately very relaxed!

"I cannot say enough to about this trip.

So many truly exceptional experiences, so many kind, warm people, the beauty of the region is astounding as is the amount of wildlife to be viewed. The diversity of the forests, grasses, plants and trees is also spectacular. All the guides and trackers were knowledgeable and so much fun to be with. There were nice connections and nice moments.

Without a doubt I will return to this area and without a doubt I will use Expert Africa.

"We had an excellent trip. Of course the object and highlight is to see and enjoy the Okavango delta and its wildlife which we did absolutely.

The organisational skills and expertise of Expert Africa who also gave sound advice on choice of safari lodges, allowed this to be a pleasurable and stress-free experience.

"The scenic quality of the Duba and Vumbura Plains make for exceptional photographic opportunities. Lion were in abundance as were buffalo, red lechwe and elephant. Sadly leopard and cheetah proved elusive this time round.

Everything was seamlessly put together by Expert Africa and all our requests taken care of. It is debatable whether the short two night break in Maun is necessary. So much of the journey has been accomplished by the time you make it to Maun you may as well do the last leg and get stuck into the main course.

"everything I'd hoped and dreamed of and more

there were few problems, mostly related to transfers, e.g. we spent an hour at kasane airport looking for our transfer and were about to phone when someone turned to take us to the border; and you can't control the weather which sent us and the wildlife looking for warmer shelter

it was worthwhile thinking about, planning and researching for 3 years, going with an open mind not a tick-list

We've never ever been so well looked after, still in shock having to think, plan and take care of ourselves and others

have already recommended your services to others we met on the trip, we really appreciate the time and patience you have shown, I would do it again but I know Richard has a long list of places to visit before we repeat. thank you so much

"This was to be the trip of a lifetime. It was something I had dreamed of since I was about 7 years old, and hours went into planning and information gathering. We looked at other travel companies, famous and expensive ones. Expert Africa had the most informative website that seemed unbiased. As long as the expectations are clear in advance, there are only positive experiences.

Maruska, the Expert who booked our trip gave all of the information that I requested, which was extensive! Maruska was patient and gave us the benefit of having spent years in Botswana. She was empathic, realizing that not having been there before, I was not certain what precautions were needed. She assuaged my fears with accurate information and patience. She explained all aspects of the travel and elicited confidence. She accommodated a very custom tailored, complicated itinerary, and was indefatigable! I must say that all of her hard work paid off for us. The Botswana experience was far better than I could have hoped or imagined. Everything was perfect would be an understatement. The trip was beyond my wildest dreams.

Bostwana is a spectacular part of the world. The ecosystems are unique, the beauty is unreal, the wildlife was up close and the people are the loveliest of all.

Our trip was wonderful in every way. The people who lived and worked at the camps were filled with humor and kindness, and loved a good surprise. I would like to thank every one.
