"Only stayed for one night but in general the hotel seemed very pleasant. Nice grounds, clean and well appointed rooms. Restaurant was good and attractive outdoor pool and bar area.

Staff friendly, however reception staff seemed unfamiliar with procedure for our pickup to connect with first safari camp, and took a little while to get sorted."

"We loved our stay at Kanana, and having had 2 nights, wished we'd booked for slightly longer. Friendly family atmosphere with stunning chalets and shared areas. Very good food - particularly the salads! Staff were a particular highlight. Camp staff were highly accommodating, friendly and seemed to want to do everything possible to make our stay. Guides were knowledgeable and tailored activities to suit our interests.

Whilst it is correct to say that big game is less dense in this region, we still saw all the main draws (except leopard!) in addition to a very wide range of birdlife. We enjoyed the variety of game drives and water based activities, and sundowners on the water were magical. The walking safari following different tracks and identifying the smaller fauna and flora was also a highlight."

"The facilities, layout and decor of the central camp area were of a very high standard with incredible views across the Chobe riverfront. Good food and friendly staff. We were celebrating a birthday during our stay and were surprised by a number of special touches that were highly appreciated.

Wildlife is very concentrated in this area and the lodge offers various different activities, so you won't be disappointed with what you see. We were lucky enough to see an African Wild dog pack make a kill on our first drive here.

Thatched chalets were clean and well appointed with a deck that has great views."

"Great base for Victoria Falls. The hotel is very picturesque with a lovely bar, restaurant and pool area, that overlook the hotel gardens. Food (especially breakfast!) was a particular highlight. A wide range of bar snacks to full a la carte are offered and all were of excellent quality.

The hotel has recently been expanded to add a significant number of additional rooms. This did not appear to congest or otherwise impact the service or central areas but we did not visit in peak season. We were in the original rooms and these were comfortable with a lovely balcony where you could hear the roar and see the spray of the falls.

Friendly, accommodating staff. Great stay."
