"My Oct 2016 trip"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 8 Oct 2016 and 26 Oct 2016
"I had a wonderful experience as did my friends.

It was well planned. I was worried we were moving to much but as we did it all made good sense.

We saw more then I could have imagined and the staff were beyond helpful." Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 10 on a Botswana safari

"Our Namibia trip"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 8 Oct 2016 and 29 Oct 2016
"We had a great time in Namibia. At the start of our holiday, our luggage was lost which caused us to lose some time. We had to buy necessary supplies, had to drive back to the airport, etc. After that, our experiences were fantastic.

Namibians are very friendly people, always willing to help & waving at the side of the road. The nature is beautiful and watching the wild animals is just amazing. The entire trip was perfectly organised. From the planning of our trip to when we arrived home. When we had questions, Maruska was always very fast in her replies.

We would also like to express special thanks to Wilderness Safaris for their support when our luggage was lost. They really did a great job." Read full review: 21 nights in Africa; 7 on a Namibia trip

"A memorable and interesting trip"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 7 Oct 2016 and 27 Oct 2016
"The arrangements generally worked clockwork and all the places we stayed were well worth visiting.

Apart from the mishaps in respect of the car (see earlier) the other thing worth mentioning is the problem of the border crossing from Botswana to Zimbabwe. We apparently arrived at a peak time, but queuing for over 2 hours in the sun to pay $55 dollars for a visa was infuriating - all the more so because it was obvious that virtually every transfer agent except ours had a special arrangement with the clerks issuing the visas.

We lost count of the number of times transfer agents would go to the front of the queue with wads of passports and forms. We were, literally, the last in the queue at the point we left, even though many people arrive after us. I'm not sure of the answer - probably either they should crack down on petty corruption or you should get a different agent?" Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 9 on a Namibia trip

"My Sep 2016 trip"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 23 Sep 2016 and 13 Oct 2016
"We have been to Namibia before and it definitely did not disappoint this time, such a magical country.

It was our first time in Botswana and we loved it and would like to see more, as is always the case in Africa in my experience. The people were so friendly and the wildlife amazing.

Victoria Falls was also good and we were glad we took your advice about seeing the falls from the Zimbabwe side as there was plenty of water! It was also a nice little town to wander around with interesting history, a good end to our trip." Read full review: 20 nights in Africa; 11 on a Namibia trip

"My Sep 2016 trip"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 9 Sep 2016 and 20 Sep 2016
"It was Megan Ingoldby that dealt with our booking - she was a pleasure to deal with and couldn't have been more helpful.
We had a wonderful holiday and any criticisms are intended to be purely constructive. These comments are in the light of us having now been on six safaris.

One of the reasons we chose Expert Africa is that we travelled to Namibia several years ago and had excellent advice from Chris McIntyre when he was at Sunvil. The book that you sent us on Botswana that Chris had written was invaluable and very much appreciated. Thank you Chris for including so much detail.

Well done Expert Africa for arranging a great holiday." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 6 on a Botswana safari

"My Sep 2016 trip"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 6 Sep 2016 and 16 Sep 2016
"Expert Africa has a number of people who are experts and regular visitors to Botswana which means many can relate personal experiences which is important for a high end trip like this.

In making our decision on routing and camps we dealt with Nick who left the company before our holiday. Sarah took over and was very helpful and professional.

Botswana is amazing and a special experience but at a special price.

I would, and have already, recommended Expert Africa to others." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 8 on a Botswana safari

"Our African Adventure"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 5 Sep 2016 and 27 Sep 2016
"This was our first visit to Southern Africa and it exceeded our expectations.

Sabina had given us a great itinerary and set of accommodation, with sound advice about distances and what to see. In retrospect we would not have spent two nights at Camp Kwando, but more in the panhandle. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to do it again.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

A list of where the ATMs are located would be useful.
Note that bird/animal guide books are not readily available at the lodges. Suggest that customers buy them before travelling.

Clarify the cross border permit instructions for vehicles from Namibia to Botswana.

Note that Zimbabwe now charges US$55 for UK residents visitor permit whereas EU members generally are charged US$30." Read full review: 22 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"Vic Falls and Botswana really great"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 5 Sep 2016 and 16 Sep 2016
"Our whole trip was amazing and went perfectly.

Thank you so much to Nick (and later Tracy) at Expert Africa for helping me with my itinerary and as usual you arranged everything with the lodges and agents to perfection. We could not fault anything, we felt really well looked after and didn't have to think of anything except enjoying ourselves. The recommendations and discussions over lodges were spot on and we saw everything we wanted to in very comfortable surroundings.

We have used you many times in the past and will not hesitate to again." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 8 on a Botswana safari

"Zambia, Botswana & Namibia Aug-Sep 2016"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 19 Aug 2016 and 6 Sep 2016
"This was the first time EVER that we engaged a travel agent to arrange a trip... after visiting 54 countries doing our own organising.

On the downside, the intimate knowledge that I usually have of every trip was gone. For me, this is part of the fun of a trip, so I missed it... having to check the itinerary every time I wanted to know something, rather than simply recalling it.

On the upside, the reason we had decided to use an agent was the difficulties of organising smooth transfers and bookings in a relatively unique environment... and almost everything went like clockwork. Where there was a hitch (the hotel 'upgrade' in Livingstone; pick-up going to the wrong end of the trip in Kasane) it was nothing to do with the booking or agent.

Taken as a whole we enjoyed the holiday very much indeed. Naturally there were highlights - Doro Nawas, Chongwe River Camp and Chobe Under Canvas would be our top three - but small things, like the fascination of the Zambia / Namibia border crossing at Kazangula or the starkness of the road from Henties Bay to Uis, also stood out as hugely interesting."
