"My Apr 2017 trip"

I visited Botswana between 14 Apr 2017 and 26 Apr 2017
"Everything was fine. We had a good start with the Olifants rest camp and a beautiful end with Muchenje lodge.

The staff who accompanied us all the way was very nice and efficient.

We also stayed for a few days at the Avani near the Victoria Falls, which you also recommend in your book on southern Africa, and were happy to be there. The hotel is pleasant.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
None, thank you very much for organizing our trip." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 2 on a Botswana safari

"Marg and Phil's Return to Africa"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 14 Mar 2017 and 4 Apr 2017
"This trip was the middle portion of a longer African holiday which we planned ourselves.

We were delighted with the personal touch and attention to detail that Maruska provided. We had enough information from telephone calls, emails, books by Bradt and your web site to approach this section of our trip with confidence. We did not have to do the planning and make reservations as Maruska, arranged everything. We made some accommodation changes a few days before we left for our holiday and a last minute reversal on our Car Hire, (which involved a new company and an eventual refund) and were relieved at how efficiently those changes were handled.

Maruska's response of making sure we were first and foremost satisfied with our itinerary and happy with all arrangements was most refreshing and reassuring.

We have spoken very highly about your service with friends and family highlighting the ethos of your company. Thank you for everything. Marg and Phil Crosby-Jones" Read full review: 21 nights in Africa; 7 on a Namibia trip

"My Feb 2017 trip"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 25 Feb 2017 and 3 Mar 2017
"When booking a safari for the first time you really have to rely on a good travel service. We felt that Maruska understood our priorities and budget and prepared a good itinerary.

The choice of facilities was perfect. The ground transportation between airports and lodges all went smoothly and the rides were comfortable. The description of the itinerary from Victoria Falls to Botswana was slightly inaccurate but it was actually easier than described (no river crossing between Zimbabwe and Botswana) so that was fine.

It was great how the drivers also helped navigate the exit and entry processes and we never felt unsure about what to do. The itinerary allowed for an independent visit but with the logistics all covered, which was just what we wanted.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:
A more detailed brochure with photos of the properties and description of services would have been nice in advance, just to whet our appetite for the experience. I felt a little unsure about what it would really be like, but fortunately everything was great." Read full review: 6 nights in Africa; 3 on a Botswana safari

"South Africa, Namibia & Botswana"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 31 Jan 2017 and 11 Mar 2017
"Great trip with a great variety of lodges. Twenty one stops in total .

Very enjoyable and effortless driving between lodges. We covered 5,000 km in the rainy season with no problems. The twin cab Ford Ranger was perfect.

The following will be especially remembered
Dabis for the interest and the enthusiasm of the owner
Wolverdans for the situation and for the charm of Thelma
Vreugde for the friendliness of the family
Mundulea for everything about it
Nhoma for the humour of the bushmen
Ngoma for the lodge its situation and management" Read full review: 39 nights in Africa; 27 on a Namibia trip

"Chobe Elephant Camp Nov 2016"

I visited Botswana between 9 Nov 2016 and 11 Nov 2016
"There were a couple of issues with our booking, mainly that we did not receive our trip vouchers until our departure date and only after following it up via email.

There was also confusion about our pick up time with Chobe Elephant Camp. We had made arrangements to get to Kasane and be collected at around 10:30am. However, Justin contacted us via email the night before our scheduled arrival and told us that we were being collected at 14:00. We had to arrange to change our transport to Kasane to accommodate this new meeting time.

When we arrived at Chobe Elephant Camp, we were told that they had actually prepared to meet us at 10:30am.

It all ended well, but it could have been handled better." Read full review: 2 nights in Africa; 2 on a Botswana safari

I visited Botswana between 8 Nov 2016 and 12 Nov 2016
"Really enjoyed the safari. All arrangements were smooth and to plan.

Great to be able to organise the trip by speaking to someone who could advise, rather than just trying to do on line.
