"Elephants galore!"

3 nights Arrived 18 Sep 2014
"Four star accommodation, but Five star game viewing. Located right in Chobe Park, so no waiting in line at the entrance gate. Visiting in the dry season worked out well, because the animals congregated at the river and the brush wasn't dense enough to hide them.

Lodge is a true all-inclusive, even personal laundry service is free. Furnishings are slightly worn and the rooms a bit dated, so not ultra-posh, but still a great experience.

The schedule is busy. On arrival day we had a sunset river cruise. Subsequent days had a pre-dawn game drive, a mid-day cruise, and a late afternoon drive, each lasting over two hours. We tended to stay with the same small group of people, who shared our arrival and departure date--the drives and cruises have a maximum of 12 guests in each group.

The game guides are all women, but I think we had the best. "RB" was friendly and a real pro, both on land and water. Several times she was the one who located leopards or lions and radioed the other guides." See all these reviews: 4n in South Africa; 3n in Botswana; 2n in Zambia

"Fantastic stay at Chobe Game Lodge"

4 nights Arrived 27 May 2014
"We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Chobe Game Lodge this May. It was our first time in Botswana, a country I had always wanted to visit, and also our first time on safari, and it lived up to our expectations and then some! From the beautiful suite with huge terrace and plunge pool, the welcoming staff who were always on hand to answer any questions, to our eagle-eyed, friendly and knowledgeable guide Bee, we really couldn't have asked for more.

There are morning and afternoon/evening drives, as well as a river cruise in the afternoon, and you are obviously free to participate as often or as little as you choose. Meals are generally buffet-style, with attentive waiter service, and a wide range of tasty food available. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and warthogs roam around outside your door! We saw scores of elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalo, jackals, hippos, crocodiles, and more. Huge thanks to Bee, Vincent, Mytie, BK and everyone at the Lodge!

Transfers arranged through Expert Africa were hassle-free, and the exceptionally helpful Chloe was on hand to answer any questions whilst booking and prior to the trip. We would not hesitate to recommend Chobe Game Lodge and will certainly be booking our next trip to this part of the world through Expert Africa." See all these reviews: 4n in Botswana

"Chobe Game Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 24 Sep 2013
"Loved the game drives, river trips, food, location, everything.

Except there was a problem with our transfer from Kasane airport to the lodge; luckily it was pointed out to us that the drive to Chobe Game Lodge was NOT possible in a two wheel drive vehicle, before we attempted it, and we feel that Expert Africa should have arranged a transfer from Kasane airport to the lodge.

Luckily, Connie, one of the lodge guides, happened to be picking up another couple at the airport and gave us a lift; otherwise, we would potentially have had a major problem." See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia; 5n in Botswana; 2n in Zambia

"Chobe Game Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 2 Sep 2008
"A large more commercial game lodge which was a welcome change giving more luxury than an average camp.

It's in a national park and therefore night drives and off-roading is not allowed.

Plenty of lion, buffalo, large herds of elephant and large pods of hippo. The downside is that there are LOTS of other people from this an other lodges there too.

The food is good and includes game which, amazingly, was hard to find at other camps." See all these reviews: 8n in Botswana; 2n in Zambia

Elephant Valley Lodge

Elephant Valley Lodge is a lovely camp in a beautiful setting – sit in its hide and watch the wildlife come to drink at the waterhole. Activities focus on boating and drives in Chobe which - although very busy, and a long drive from the lodge – is very rich in wildlife.
