"Another most enjoyable trip"

I visited Zambia between 26 Aug 2023 and 8 Sep 2023
"Our trip as a whole went very well.

All the connections worked as they should, and there were no glitches on the way.

Tafika is our favourite destination in Africa, and we were very pleased to be back there." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 11 on a Zambia safari

"My Aug 2023 trip"

I visited Zambia and 1 other country between 12 Aug 2023 and 30 Aug 2023
"It was a very enjoyable trip with plenty of sights

We were lucky to see the wild dogs crossing a river at nkalwi (no dogs lost to the crocodiles) and then elephants playing in the water at Malawi

There were just too many good sightings to name them all!" Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 10 on a Zambia safari

"My Aug 2023 trip to Kafue & Lower Zambezi"

I visited Zambia between 5 Aug 2023 and 18 Aug 2023
"Thank you Lucy for putting a great itinerary together. We truly enjoyed our trip to Zambia. It's such a gem of a country.

We had wonderful intimate moments with the African Wildlife and the people. The time passed by far too quickly.

Hence, we are already looking forward to our next destination, hopefully next year!" Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 13 on a Zambia safari

"We want to go back... now!"

I visited Zambia and 1 other country between 14 Jul 2023 and 28 Jul 2023
"The entire trip, even experienced in one outfit - thanks Delta Airlines, was more than we could have imagined.

From the time we arrived at our first camp it was magical... words fail to capture the experience.

We have some unique challenges with foods, but every camp had clearly planned and the accommodations were excellent and subtle.

The game drives were exciting with extensive wildlife sightings, but the game walks were viscerally rewarding. We found that on game drives you see Africa, but when hiking through the bush you experience Africa. The guides and rangers were outstanding and we never felt uncomfortable.

We also appreciate the support from Expert Africa throughout our trip, dealing with lost luggage, flight delays and cancellations - we especially appreciate the prompt responses as internet access and WiFi were inconsistently available (which we appreciated except when changes arose unexpectedly).

The ability to arrange an additional safari outside Johannesburg when our flight was cancelled allowed us to see rhino... and appreciate the quality and uniqueness of our experiences in South Luangwa." Read full review: 14 nights in Africa; 11 on a Zambia safari

"My Jul 2023 trip"

I visited Zambia between 3 Jul 2023 and 11 Jul 2023
"We can’t say enough good things about our trip. You could say it was the trip of a lifetime but we loved it so much we’re already working on our return.

While Zambia itself: the people, the area, and the wildlife obviously is incredible, the trip wouldn’t have been the experience it was without Lucy [of Expert Africa]. She helped us decide on where to stay and did the hard work figuring out how to get us from place to place. Everything was seamless.

The only difficulties with the whole trip were the parts we planned ourselves. I was definitely wishing I’d worked with Lucy for the South Africa portion!

As soon as we decide in dates for our return to Zambia, I will be in touch with Lucy.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

I would like to be able to give some constructive criticism, but I just think ever portion of this experience was incredible, thank you." Read full review: 8 nights in Africa; 8 on a Zambia safari

"My May 2023 trip"

I visited Zambia between 26 May 2023 and 8 Jun 2023
"This was the trip of a life time. Once we got to Lusaka everything went like clockwork. All the transfers and people meeting us at the airport was so helpful, all the drivers were friendly and informative about their community. We were not expecting the level of service we received all the way through, we are now spoiled for future trips. As our usual trip planner it was a great relief for me.

In hindsight I think going to 2 camps might have been better, but don't know what/which we would exclude. We definitely would have enjoyed more time at Flat Dogs. I think we saw more at Flat Dogs and Anabezi. I think this is because there were more guides driving around so more eyes looking and as we passed another vehicle they would relay information (or radio). At Tafika, we were the only vehicle in the camp so sightings were a little haphazard.

We were impressed with the amount of knowledge all three of our guide possessed. They knew about birds, mammals, vegetation, insects, tracking...and could relate facts on sight! They were also good at tailoring our drives to what we wanted, as the trip went on we no longer wanted to stop at every zebra or elephant sighting, but were looking for predators and hoping to see a kill. We never saw a kill but saw a leopard and lionesses attempt kills. We watched the wild dogs two nights in a row waiting for them to hunt but only saw them sleep and scratch!

The beauty of the land, the morning sky and night sky are indelibly etched in my mind (and in photos). I'm glad we went to the Lower Zambezi park because the landscape was just a little different, the mountains around the park are so pretty and make a beautiful backdrop. When they get the black rhino reintroduced to the Lower Zambezi, I'd love to go back!" Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 12 on a Zambia safari

"Back in Zambia again !"

I visited Zambia between 29 Apr 2023 and 11 May 2023
"I was most impressed by the organisation which was seamless.

Being 85 and a lone traveller I was a little apprehensive as to how I would stand up to it all, but the staff were without exception caring and supportive without overdoing it.

One word of caution - the flight on Emirates was long and taxing and the airport at Dubai was a monster!" Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 10 on a Zambia safari

"Nkwali in March"

I visited Zambia between 18 Mar 2023 and 27 Mar 2023
"I really enjoy Luangwa at this time of year as the wild dog sightings are consistently excellent, the scenery is stunning and such a contrast to dry season, and the birding is great.

It's also very relaxing just spending a whole week at one camp. See my Nkwali review for more info!" Read full review: 9 nights in Africa; 7 on a Zambia safari
