"This trip was beyond our expectations (which were very high!). Fabulous wildlife viewing, superb and friendly camps, smooth transfers and first class guiding all added up to a trip which left us wanting to book another visit even before we left.

"Our trip to Zambia was fantastic & delivered everything & more than we were expecting.

The key to this success, was the great advice & discussion I had with Megan during the booking process. I had a good idea what I was looking for & what I didn't want, she was very good at discussing the pros & cons of each camp & location. I never felt pressured to just make a booking.

In the end the holiday & the camps delivered exactly what were looking for. Many Thanks for a wonderful experience

"Claire at Expert Africa once again helped us make the arrangements for our trip and as usual everything was 'spot on'. We continue to be very impressed by the level of service that Expert Africa consistently provides to travellers.

We were particularly impressed with the service provided by Tours Africa who met us at Lusaka Airport and provided road transfers to and from our first hotel to the airport. They were always very punctual and were extremely helpful to us, going above and beyond the usual to re-connect us with our lost luggage and guiding us through immigration and passport control.

Tafika remains our favourite camp in South Luangwa. This area of South Luangwa is stunningly beautiful and very special. The Remote Africa Safari's team are very good at sharing this special place, everything is well organised and managed and they always leave you just desperate to return! We were particularly touched by the efforts that the whole team went to, to provide us with a special sundowner (champagne and the works!) to mark a special birthday and recent retirement.

From the wildlife, to the camps, to the very friendly people, South Luangwa National Park was outstanding.

"We had a wonderful holiday and as usual Zamibia didn't disappoint when it came to game and hospitality. We have learnt that guiding is the key to a successful trip and in 3 of the 4 camps we stayed the guiding was excellent. We got very close to some big game and all the guides clearly demostrated their knowledge of the animals and how to track them. We prefer it when the guides don't radio each other the location of animals as it sometimes feels that you are at a spectator sport rather than on a remote game drive.

Some of the camps operate a very formal way of serving lunch which is a good for meeting the other guests and sharing experiences but does mean that there is often limited time to relax on your own in the afternoon.

We loved the walking safari and while you don't tend to see as much big game the experience of standing 10 metres away from male lion or having a giraffe walking 15 metres from you is truly amazing!" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 14 on a Zambia safari

"This is the best holiday that we have ever had in 40+ years of travelling.

Expert Africa gave a good range of camp options in Zambia. We watched their videos on Youtube. There was footage about each camp in South Luangwa and this was very helpful to us in making our selection. Robin Pope's website was also extremely useful because it showed how we could make the trip more economical by benefitting from the green season rate and the long stay discount.

Freddie was very helpful over the phone and prompt with his emails. Although there were a couple of mistakes these were quickly rectified.

The local agents at Lusaka Airport (Tour Africa) were very helpful and attentive. We were impressed by the service they provided.

Robin Pope Safaris were outstanding in every way.

"This was our 15th trip with Expert Africa since we first went with them in September 2006. This one was booked at short notice and, as with a couple of previous ones, had to combine (our) business with vacation.

As always, EA provided us with the very highest standard of service from start to finish, including (as has often been the case) a recommended adjustment to our originally proposed itinerary, ie Nsefu, which was definitely an improvement. Furthermore, when our original accommodation in Lusaka cancelled us at very short notice, EA immediately came up and sorted a more than suitable alternative (ie Latitude 15).

The downside of having done 15 trips with EA is that we have run out of superlatives. So, suffice it to say, we have nothing but praise for Chris and his entire team and will continue to recommend EA strongly to anyone considering a vacation on their 'patch'. "This was our second safari (Expert Africa had arranged a trip to Botswana in the dry season in 2012) and so were anxious beforehand that we might be disappointed - this emphatically was not the case and the trip exceeded our wildest dreams.

Practicalities The services of Tours Africa in facilitating our passage though Lusaka Airport were very welcome and suggest that they should always be there on hand to help and advise

SAA flights were much better than BA and we would prefer to use them! Especially as you can prebook the seats without extra cost months in advance. The Proflight flights although cramped were perfectly adequate and would not put us off using them again

Latitude 15 hotel was very comfortable and of high standard of cleanliness, cheerful atmosphere and incredible cheap food. To be recommended. Very swift check in, good portering service and welcome sparkling wine drink!
