Zambia trip
Zambia between 25 Jul 2015 and 8 Aug 2015
"Our trip to Zambia was fantastic & delivered everything & more than we were expecting.
The key to this success, was the great advice & discussion I had with Megan during the booking process. I had a good idea what I was looking for & what I didn't want, she was very good at discussing the pros & cons of each camp & location. I never felt pressured to just make a booking.
In the end the holiday & the camps delivered exactly what were looking for. Many Thanks for a wonderful experience

"Great Location & Atmosphere"

"Tafika was a great location on the bend of the river, with great views.
There were always the options of Game Drives Day & Night, Walking & even Mountain Biking. The Mountain Biking with John was a great unique experience, we even were picked up in the middle of the park after 2 hrs & then continued on a night drive.
The atmosphere of the camp is very friendly & relaxed, & dinner times are good social affair. The Tafika team were also very good to us, as we arrived with the problem of lost luggage, they lent us some clothes, toiletries, etc, so we were still able to participate in all the Safaris. They also ensured our luggage was picked up 2 days later when it finally emerged."

Big Lagoon Camp
"Crocodile & Chikoko Camps"
2 nights
Arrived

"The walking experience & staying in the 2 completely different bushcamps for 2 nights each was fantastic. We kept the same team for the 5 days & this was also great. We were 2 couples who had only just met a Tafika, then we had Alex the Scout, Mukupa the guide & Justan as the tea boy. As we were together the whole time, we all ended up with an excellent friendly, trusting, relationship with the team which I think they also appreciated.
As our fitness was good we were walking nearly 6/7 hrs a day. I also have to mention the work of Mukupa as the guide who has a great sense of humour, & worked tirelessly for the whole 5 days as guide, host & all round entertainer. Alex was also meticulous in his safety, advice & knowledge of animal behaviour.
The highlight & most exhilarating was tracking a pride of lions for nearly 2hrs & finally finding them asleep under a bush with 9 cubs having just eaten a buffalo kill"

Avani Victoria Falls
"Zambezi Sun + Royal Livingstone"
4 nights
Arrived
3 Aug 2015
"Although we had initially booked the Zambezi Sun, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Royal Livingstone. The location of the 2 hotels is perfect for being close to the Falls & all activities.
The service is also very good in both hotels. However if you plan to spend sometime at the hotel, then the RL has perfect river views. The whole frontage of the hotel (restaurant, bar, pool) & all the rooms are directly overlooking the Zambezi river. You can see Hippos in the river & Elephants crossing from the other side, inside the grounds of the hotel Zebra, Giraffe & Impala are also roaming free.
This is definitely worth paying the extra for."

Unfortunately we were only there a very short time due to delayed flights, however the camp still came & picked us up at 2am in the morning & were very helpful trying to find our lost luggage.
Very Friendly & helpful."
