"Old Mondoro Bushcamp review"
It has an authentic, remote bushcamp feel coupled with comfortable, well appointed reed/canvas walled riverside chalets. Food was excellent and varied and the service was outstanding. Staffing levels were generous, enabling it to offer a flexible agenda of activities tailored to the interests of clients. Our guides were very knowledgeable and responsive to our interest in birds and flora as well as game.
We successfully added to our already lengthy list of recent sightings of lion, leopard buffalo elephant, antelope and birds. Addtional treats included three fish eagles picking out catfish from a drying waterhole, followed later by a leopard on a similar but unsuccessful quest and night drive sightings of honey badgers, porcupines, striped jackals, civets and wonder of wonders, even a pangolin.
Old Mondoro certainly lived up to its reputation" See all these reviews: 11n in Zambia

"Old Mondoro Review"
Ryan was a great host – both professional and friendly- nothing was ever too much trouble for him. We were pleasantly surprised by the sheer density of the game – no driving around trying to search for things here. Had some good leopard and lion sitings here in addition to great birding, particularly on the river.
The canoeing down the Zambezi was also very exciting and a highlight of our time here. Being able to see elephants and buffalo drinking in the lagoon from the deck of our room meant that there was no such thing as a siesta." See all these reviews: 12n in Zambia
"Old Mondoro Bushcamp review"
Ryan was very attentive and informed Anita (Chiawa) that I don't like broccoli though I didn't mention it on the form since there is always plenty to eat.
Canoeing and fishing was excellent. Very good and patient guides." See all these reviews: 13n in Zambia

"Lovely time at Old Mondoro"
We found using red light for spotting during night drives made it difficult to take photographs.
It was a bit annoying to have to radio for an escort to walk a few yards to dinner or if an elephant was in camp. Once back at our room the elephant was grazing right outside and was not bothered about us." See all these reviews: 11n in Zambia
"Tiny but Mighty Old Mondoro"
Camp Hosts, Ryan and Pam, were excellent! We would request Victor, our guide, again if we are ever so lucky to be able to return. He is the most knowledgeable guide we experienced in our three week visit to Namibia and Zambia.
Our canoe trip is a memory never to be forgotten!

"Charming camp and excellent service"
This was our second Safari in Africa and a lovely accompaniment to our South Luangwa trip. The Zambezi river is incredibly picturesque and we were thrilled to be in a tent overlooking the river - teaming with elephants, hippos and crocs.
Our hosts Jason and Michaela warmly welcomed us to Old Mondoro. Service was excellent throughout our stay; and the food simply incredible.
With a variety of activities - boat trips, canoe trips, night drives and walking - it's tempting to return to Old Mondoro and we can easily understand why there are so many returnees." See all these reviews: 7n in Zambia; 7n in Mozambique
"A great camp"
Similar to Chiawa the canoe trip is a fantastic experience and not to be missed!
The other great advantage of Old Mondora is that you are able to experience a more open landscape which some stunning woodlands.
We were also fortunate to see three leopards in the late afternoon (two in one tree and one scavenging below ) with a kill prior to sunset.
Also experienced one of our best moments when during our last dinner elephants crossed the river in front of us and glided silently on by as we dined, perfect !" See all these reviews: 14n in Zambia
