Old Mondoro Bushcamp: video gallery

Old Mondoro Bushcamp: picture gallery

Old Mondoro is perhaps the only true bushcamp in the Lower Zambezi N.P.
Each of the four chalets at Old Mondoro has a great view...
... and stands on the banks of a channel or verdant tributary of the Zambezi River.
Each chalet is made of thatch and canvas, and is open at the front.
They have a small shaded veranda to relax on...
... which guarantees that you are very close to the wildlife.
Inside each chalet is a comfortable double or twin bed...
... beside which you find racks for your bags and a small wardrobe.
You have your own en-suite bathroom, with a flushing toilet...
... a wash-basin with hot and cold running water...
... a refreshing shower, open to the sky...
... and a bath with a unique view.
The central lounge and dining area at Old Mondoro is beside the river and very open...
... allowing guests the chance to admire the scenic riverine landscape...
... and watch the passing wildlife all from the relaxed vantage point of a comfy chair.
The animals often seem as if they want to come to dinner.
The land around Old Mondoro is mostly forested with tall, ancient winterthorn trees.
Buffalo are common here, singly and in herds...
... and their movements are closely followed by prides of lion.
