"Elephants at Old Mondoro"

3 nights Arrived 1 Oct 2015
"This is a wonderful, intimate, bush camp with just four tents. We stayed in the same tent that we stayed in five years ago.

The pods of the acacia tree overhanging the tent are an irresistible attraction for elephants, so we experienced some splendid close encounters. Old Mondoro has excellent guides and, like Chiawa, offers a wide range of land and water-based activities. Drifting down the Zambezi at sunset is idyllic.

Compared to Chiawa, there are more open plains which make spotting easier in some respects." See all these reviews: 16n in Zambia

"Old Mondoro Bushcamp review"

3 nights Arrived 10 Sep 2015
"What a perfect place in which to end our safari! The camp was everything we'd hoped and more - right on the water's edge, with lions in view and ellies frequent visitors. The game drives urned up multiple sightings of all Zambezi's big game and small and the boat rides took us close to crocs, hippos and a wealth of colorful birdlife.

The camp itself was perfect - small and comfortable, with spectacular water views right from our bed. Ryan and Pam were terrific hosts - organizing everything from a surprise bush brunch with ellies to an amazing birthday cake for Peter. The food was excellent and the guiding unbeatable.

This is the other camp we'd love to return to." See all these reviews: 14n in Zambia

"Mondoro is still our favourite camp in Zambia"

4 nights Arrived 24 Jun 2015
"This was our third visit to Old Mondoro and it lived up to our very high expectations. We travelled in June on this trip and expected to see less animals but we still saw a lot including lion with young cubs and leopard.

The guiding (Sebastian, Joseph, Johan and Reuben) was excellent on drives and walks. We enjoyed our boat and canoe activities as much as ever.

We were well looked after by Pam and Ryan

We will return" See all these reviews: 21n in Zambia

"Old Mondoro Bushcamp review"

4 nights Arrived 20 Jun 2015
"Wonderful "Bushcamp" (Luxury in my eyes), very nice setting and completely different terrain with the Jeki Plains etc. compared to Chiawa and Camps more uptstream the Zambezi.

Wonderful stay and fanatastic Host and Room No. 3 as well. View from the bed upstream the Zambezi! Fantastic!

4 Nights stay and 6x Leopard sightings! A Place to go back!" See all these reviews: 9n in Zambia

"Heaven on the Zambezi!"

2 nights Arrived 5 Jun 2015
"Now THIS is what a bushcamp should be! Old Mondoro ticks all of the boxes -- beautiful chalets that offer the perfect balance between "rustic" and "luxury" (and stunningly located mere meters from the river); great food; superb, yet refined and relaxed, service; wonderful activities with excellent guiding; and the exclusivity of a small camp.

The other two parties occupying camp when I arrived were multiple-repeat customers (one couple was on, I think, their fifteenth annual visit to Old Mondoro!), and I can certainly understand why. I would return here in a heartbeat, and not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family looking for a high-quality safari in a stunning setting." See all these reviews: 18n in Zambia

"Old Mondoro Bushcamp review"

3 nights Arrived 10 Sep 2014
"Top notch bush camp everything you could possibly want is available. Your wish is their command. Possibly one of the finest bush camps in Zambia.

Also the best place to see leopard (realise wildlife sigthings can be unpredictable) but we saw them on virtually every game drive.

Just for good measure we saw an Aardvark others saw 4 in one night!

Pangolins are around but you would have to be very lucky we were not!!" See all these reviews: 12n in Zambia

"This was our last camp and possibly our favourite as it is very small and rustic and the animals were always around the camp.

Opening our door to confront an elephant who then walked around the back of our tent and investigated out outdoor bath is a brilliant experience." See all these reviews: 10n in Zambia
