"Old Mondoro - return after 11 years"
Our game viewing started in spectacular style on the transfer in from the airstrip when James spotted a female leopard lounging on a branch. When we thought she was going to leave she simply turned around and presented us with her other side. Later during our visit we were treated to a similar sighting of a very relaxed male leopard.
As well as walks and game drives we took a river trip and had great views of elephants crossing and playing in the water. There is much to be seen while in the camp with animals and birds passing through and enjoying the lagoon.
Old Mondoro is still a very special place to stay." See all these reviews: 10n in Zambia
"Elephants at Old Mondoro"
The pods of the acacia tree overhanging the tent are an irresistible attraction for elephants, so we experienced some splendid close encounters. Old Mondoro has excellent guides and, like Chiawa, offers a wide range of land and water-based activities. Drifting down the Zambezi at sunset is idyllic.
Compared to Chiawa, there are more open plains which make spotting easier in some respects." See all these reviews: 15n in Zambia
"Old Mondoro Bushcamp review"
The camp itself was perfect - small and comfortable, with spectacular water views right from our bed. Ryan and Pam were terrific hosts - organizing everything from a surprise bush brunch with ellies to an amazing birthday cake for Peter. The food was excellent and the guiding unbeatable.
This is the other camp we'd love to return to." See all these reviews: 14n in Zambia
"Mondoro is still our favourite camp in Zambia"
The guiding (Sebastian, Joseph, Johan and Reuben) was excellent on drives and walks. We enjoyed our boat and canoe activities as much as ever.
We were well looked after by Pam and Ryan

"Heaven on the Zambezi!"
The other two parties occupying camp when I arrived were multiple-repeat customers (one couple was on, I think, their fifteenth annual visit to Old Mondoro!), and I can certainly understand why. I would return here in a heartbeat, and not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family looking for a high-quality safari in a stunning setting." See all these reviews: 18n in Zambia

Also the best place to see leopard (realise wildlife sigthings can be unpredictable) but we saw them on virtually every game drive.
Just for good measure we saw an Aardvark others saw 4 in one night!
Pangolins are around but you would have to be very lucky we were not!!" See all these reviews: 12n in Zambia

Opening our door to confront an elephant who then walked around the back of our tent and investigated out outdoor bath is a brilliant experience." See all these reviews: 10n in Zambia
