"Great day trip to the Crater, absolute abundance of animals everywhere. Backdrop of the crater against the animals is incredible. Density of animals is unlike any safari we have been on before. Felt a bit more 'touristy' compared to our Serengeti safari, with many more vehicles about. "Our guide, Anaeni, was excellent. He suggested an early start, which paid dividends as we were one of the first groups onto the crater floor and saw a lioness with her cubs at our first stop.

The rest of the day was a wonderful experience in which we saw many different animals and birds in beautiful locations, often in close proximity. Anaeni worked hard to ensure we got the very best from our visit; he is very knowledgeable and willing to discuss many aspects of the safari.

"Ngorongoro Crater is magical, the drive down from crater rim early in the morning was breathtaking.

My favorite part about Ngorongoro (other than the scenary) was observing hippos in the hippo pool.

"Our day in the crater was amazing and Godlisten worked really hard to ensure we saw as much as possible - especially when the report of a rhino sighting came over the radio.

It was a lot busier than all the other areas we visited during our time in Tanzania and we were quite often watching animals alongside 10 other vehicles. However despite this we were really glad we decided to visit Ngorongoro as it was so different from the other places and was one of the most beautiful places in the world." "Very good… because we had a lovely and informative guide. He spotted loads of animals and we had a very good day. It was a bit cloudy on descent but the sun soon burnt though the clouds.

We saw a Rhino in the distance, as well as water buffalo with ox peckers cleaning their ears and egrets sitting on their backs. Lots of egrets and water birds around the lake.

Hippos, and elephants and wildebeests. The latter even doing a mini migration in the crater… all walking in a line one after the other. No giraffes here.
