"What an amazing trip, absolutely a once in a lifetime experience. Expert Africa planned and executed each portion of the trip extremely well allowing us to take the time to relax and enjoy our vacation. "We were only here for a short bit, but it was a good place to transition after landing and before beginning our Safari. The staff was friendly, accommodations and grounds nice."

"What a special place! The view from the lodge/dining area and our rooms was unreal! The tent was incredibly comfortable and we appreciated the option to have laundry done here.
The only "negative" was the condition of the road... while this is not in your control, it was a bit of a bummer as it did extend the long drive to/from Tarangire National Park."

Lake Manyara was our least favorite park. A number of the roads are no longer accessible as the lake has risen, so there is really only one road in and out left. This led to lots of traffic and not much to see along the way.
If I was booking a future trip, we would skip this park and spend another day at the Ngorongoro Crater.

We LOVED the Ngorongoro Crater and wish we could have spend more time here. It was amazing to see giant herds of so many different types of animals, lions feeding on a fresh kill, and being lucky enough to spot rhino's too!

"What a special place! This camp was pure luxury. The tents were beyond anything we'd imagine and the food was AMAZING! All the staff were warm, friendly, and went above and beyond.
Unfortunately there were a number of controlled 'cold' burns during our time here which led to a large amount of smoke in the area. This was a bit of a bummer as it affected visibility and was a bit irritating to the eyes and lungs, but isn't something controllable by the camp or staff."
