"We had a very short stay at the Rivertrees Country Inn and we did not have dinner, so our review is limited.

The room was large and comfortable, and the bathroom well appointed. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice of hot and cold items. Staff were friendly and attentive."

"From the moment that we were picked up at Kuro airstrip, our experience of the Kuro Tarangire camp was excellent. On the journey from the airstrip to the camp we saw cheetahs, lions, elephants and many other animals.

Our guide, Ibrahim, was first class. He explained his plans for our game drives clearly in advance and adapted them according to conditions and information from other guides. The bush breakfast by the river was a highlight! Raymond, the manager, ran his team very well; the food and service in the camp was excellent. Our tent was very comfortable and beautifully situated with views across the valley.

The climate and topography at Tarangire are quite different from the other places that we visited in Tanzania and we highly recommend including it in an itinerary."

"The camp at Entamanu is very comfortable; the rooms are large and well appointed with all amenties. The rooms have efficient heaters which are turned on in the evening to heat them, which made the room a little too warm for us, but following our request, the heater was not turned on the next day.

The manager, Mohammed, runs a great team and the food and service in the camp was excellent. The location on the crater rim is perfect; the views across the crater at dawn and dusk are truly spectacular and the proximity to the descending road allows you to get down to the crater floor before the crowds arrive."

"Our stay at the Nomad Serengeti Safari camp was the highlight of our trip and we would not hesitate to recommend it highly. The camp was situated in a beautiful location with views across a valley to the grassland and woods beyond. It is a mobile camp, with a perfect balance of remoteness and comfort. Olias, the manager, runs a great team. The staff are friendly and efficient, they provided delicious food, both in the camp and for the bush breakfasts. Everything ran very smoothly, so we could relax completely and enjoy the experience.

Our guide, Emmanuel Elias, was outstanding. He worked hard to ensure that our game drives were very enjoyable. We saw all of the wildlife that we had hoped too see, any many more besides, including a great variety of bird life. We really appreciated his knowledge and understanding of the Serengeti and his willingness to answer many questions. It was a truly memorable experience.

One minor criticism: we were advised that mosquito nets were not necessary at night. However, one of us was bitten several times at night."

"Kisiwa On the Beach is set in a beautiful location, right on a lovely sandy beach. The villas have plenty of space between them and there is a large pool.

We stayed in Villa 1, which is described as a Beach Villa with sea view. However, it is situated about 70 m back from the beach and is adjacent to the hotel restaurant. The sea view was partially obscured by trees and shrubs. Villas 2 and 3 are much closer to the beach and so have better views. Villa 3 is closest

The Managment were having problems with a new design for the roof of their restaurant which let in copious amounts of water when it rained hard and the wind blew. They coped admirably by offering room service on the first night and then sweeping water away and shifting chairs and tables into dry patches for the rest of our stay; the manager assured everyone this problem would be sorted as soon as the roof was remodelled.

The staff were well trained, friendly and helpful. The food was generally very good, fresh and plentiful, although the deserts were a bit disappointing.

Our room was very spacious and clean. Minor issues with a leaking loo were sorted quickly."
