"Based on a 'general idea'of what we wanted - Angela put together an absolutely perfect itinerary for us as a family. "Great varied holiday.

For a month long holiday there was only one minor one hiccup so that's pretty good. The Wild Horizons road transport from Zambezi Sun to Livingstone Airport didn't turn up. They then didn't answer any of the contact numbers incl their emergency mobile so that is probably more of a concern. No problem we just got the hotel to order us a taxi. A Wild Horizons rep finally called the hotel & said their vehichle wouldn't start that morning & they had another vehicle on the way. We said that given the time we were now taking whatever turned up first (which was the taxi). To their credit Wild Horizans must have contacted the taxi driver and told him to return the fare to us.

Proably the only thing we would have changed on the holiday was to sway Tafika camp in Sth Luangwa NP for one that was on a perennial river with watersports such as canoeing (eg Lower Zambezi NP)

PS: We don't normally have our trips organised by a travel agent and only initially contacted Expert Afrika for the Busanga & Tafika bookings .. but then Maruska offered to book most of the other accn & transfers & that's what happened. Very unusual for us to have transfer cars waiting at an airport etc with our name on a card & we don't see much of an advantage over just getting a bus/taxi .. but i can see that some folks would love the certainty of transport waiting for them

"We had a wonderful trip and the transfers were, as ever, well organised, even through Nairobi airport. The places we stayed more than lived up to our expectations. The lodges were very quiet compared to last year and we did enjoy feeling exclusive. We enjoyed mostly having the game drive vehicles to ourselves. It is a shame that the lack of direct flights from the UK may be deterring people from visiting Tanzania, but we loved the quietness. We certainly had no problems although the return flight was more tiring and not so pleasant because of not being a through flight.

We were impressed with all our accommodation and are amazed with how such luxury is provided in the wilds of Africa. We did find that Mosiguard improved our tsetse fly experience. All the vehicles we used were comfortable. We can recommend a southern Tanzanian safari for the game we saw (everything bar rhino and wild dog), and the beautiful scenery and lovely people. "Our trip exceeded all our expectations. We booked our flights (Emirates from London Gatwick to Dubai to Dar), spent one night at the Southern Sun in Dar, 3 nights at Lake Manze in the Selous and 4 nights at Mdonya in Ruaha before 5 nights at Butiama Beach in Mafia.

We very much valued the advice we were given by Expert Africa and we were certainly better prepared than most other travellers we met. All recommendations and comments given about hotels, lodges, flights were borne out by what we saw.

"This trip was a pleasure to arrange - thanks to Maruska. Very happy with the final product. Also very responsive to all my questions.

Then Claire et al helped to salvage the safari just when it looked like the Nairobi airport fire might sink us. Then your ground contractors really came through to tweak the itinerary - Wayo safaris - and get my bag back - Kearsley safaris. George our guide/driver was so much more than a driver - very knowledgable, gracious, patient and just a nice guy. We liked him a lot. The camp at Kogatende - not mentioned in this questionnaire - was excellent (my God it was remote) - time at the Mara will not be forgotten.

I cant think of a single negative and I can think of several things "above and beyond" - not least getting us to Tanzania in time for the safari.
