My family has an active, adventurous spirit, which Claire Scott (Expert Africa) picked up on right away as we discussed options nearly nine months prior. Accordingly, Claire recommended camps that met our desires and expectations. I cannot say enough about how easy it was to work with Expert Africa and how efficiently our holiday played out. "Wild and luxurious"
Ellie is simply a star! She knows exactly what we like and she is always great at giving suggestions but also at listening to my endless questions and thousands of email- I know I am hard work and demanding but so far Ellie managed to match and exceed our expectations, thanks a lot!!
Everything worked well and all the connections and transfers were all perfect as always. What more can I say? Thank you once more!

Just a couple of small suggestions....so not to lose my reputation of being a "pain in the neck" (self declared).
It would be good to give more emphasis on the local projects that camps run so that future guests can choose to help and perhaps bring something (I say this because we brought some supplies to the Katumbi clinic but the other two guests at greystoke were not aware of the possibility of doing so. They did not book through EA so perhaps my suggestions should be forwarded to the camps).
It would be good to add some price for each lodge/camp to give an approximate idea of prices (as some of your competitors do...without naming names...) and to give a break down in the quote for each accommodation/flight/transport etc, but maybe this would interest only myself." Throughout the long planning period Eleanor was wonderful. She gave us a great insight into the places we wished to visit, her advice was perfect e.g. It was definitely better to visit Katavi before Mahale. Thank you Ellie you were great !
We have used Expert Africa on many occasions and have always been delighted with our trips. Chris and his team are efficient and very knowledgeable - Chris ensures that any place that clients wish to visit have been vetted by him or one of his team.
We look forward to our next Expert Africa trip though it will not be somewhat different as we are hoping to take our young grandchildren to introduce them to the wonders of this great country.

"A million wildebeest in the Serengeti"
All the arrangements worked perfectly, and we enjoyed our trip very much indeed.
Two general comments regarding safaris in Tanzanian National Parks:
(a) the need to be back in camp before sunset does not allow for the sundowners in the bush experience that we have enjoyed in other African countries, such as Zambia;
(b) in our view, the open vehicles available at the camps, are essential to enjoy a true safari experience. As Tanzania does not allow open vehicles outside of National Parks, many guests 'safaried' in closed vehicles, having driven from airports / other National Parks." Coordination of our transfers went very well during the trip. We moved from one camp to the next seamlessly.
One point of communications that cause some confusing with our group as the ability to arrange trips to the crater floor from the Crater Lodge. We were told by Expert Africa that the lodge would make only one trip to the crater per day but we later found out the the Crater Lodge would accommodate any request that was made including morning, afternoon or all day trips to the crater floor. This simple clarification would have eliminated some anxiety by people in our group that wanted to maximize their time at the crater floor."
