"We were delighted with the trip overall, despite a few things regarding the Highlands.
Right from the start Liz was incredibly helpful, making useful suggestions and coming up with a great itinerary.
She was great when Kenya airways changed their flight schedule, and we had to use a different carrier.
Overall the trip was excellent - the middle part at Ubuntu was the highlight, followed by the Rwanda section and the Highlands last of all, but the whole experience was great.

"An extraordinary and fantastic adventure!"

"This trip was truly awesome. We loved every minute of every part of it.
The opportunity to stand face-to-face with a family of gorillas in the middle of the jungle in Rwanda is other worldly – straight out of a movie (literally!) and I couldn't recommend more highly.
Same goes for the Sausage Tree camp in Zambia. Wow what a fabulous place! Having our own guide is key, and their facilities are top, top notch – from the rooms to the main lodge to the cars and boats they use, all of which makes a difference in making the experience truly extraordinary.

But since we booked a safari for 12 days in Rwanda, it would have been nice for you to include the Bradt guide to Rwanda also. We purchased it on our own." "Every time I think about our Gorilla trek I get goosebumps. It was simply sensational. I am so glad we decided to go on two consecutive days and were able to see two gorilla families.
Olakira camp was fantastic - a great choice for anyone interested in witnessing the amazing wildebeest migration. The service, facilities, food and guiding was nothing short of exceptional.
I could not recommend the Ngorongora crater or Manyara based on our experience. It really fell short after the Serengeti although a better guide would no doubt have contributed to a richer experience." Read full review: 9 nights in Africa; 5 on a Tanzania safari

"Thanks to Maruska for handling so many details and planning out a memorable experience for us. Maruska thought of absolutely everything and was so responsive to our questions. In all cases she got back to us within hours of receiving an email. I would not hesitate to have her plan future trips.

Not really. Everything was amazing! Only place I would skip is Halali and spend more time at Ungomo, which I think Maruska tried for but wasn't able to get for us.
I would have preferred to be told exactly what to tip and to prepare envelopes in advance. the tipping protocols were somewhat overwhelming.
Here's an example: the literature told us to tip at b and b places at the end of the trip, using the tip box. But when someone carried our bags, it was clear that they expected a tip. this left us awkwardly fumbling for change and trying to figure out local currency on the spot.
