"The Delight review"
3 nights Arrived 7 Aug 2021
"There was a mistake with the reservation at the delight which led to us being separated by two flights of stairs from our childrens room. We had to move rooms on day 2.
The rooms were large, modern and clean.
The first room (number 37) was very noisy at night due the adjacent laundry which operated throughout the night.
Service was mixed and ranged from friendly and helpful to rude and apathetic (particularly on the Sunday).
Expert Africa offered to move the reservation to an alternative hotel which in hindsight we should have accepted despite being tired after the journey.
Breakfast was good" See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia

"A Delightful stay in Swakopmund"
2 nights Arrived 12 Sep 2019
"The Delight hotel is situated in a convenient central location in the town, opposite the old railway station and close by the Kristall Gallery, both places being recommended to visit. It is also a relatively short walk from the waterfront area and some historic monuments. The hotel has a pleasant landscaped central courtyard with rooms overlooking it that are very comfortable and well equipped. Front desk and service staff were very welcoming and helpful and parking was no problem. One of their font desk staff, Denise, was extremely helpful in recommending an excellent restaurant for dinner in one of the other hotels and was able to book us a table on a busy night. The hotels small lounge area was a pleasant place to relax.
The breakfast quality was good, although some of the made to order breakfast items were slow in being served and some were forgotten." See all these reviews: 22n in Namibia; 6n in Botswana; 2n in Zimbabwe

"A good base in Swakopmund"
3 nights Arrived 27 Aug 2019
"A modern hotel with well appointed rooms and within easy reach of the town centre, restaurants and coast. We stayed for 3 nights to give ourselves the opportunity to make the most of the activities available locally.
Heading out to Pelican Point from Walvis Bay and kayaking with the young seals was great fun. We saw loads of flamingos, pelicans and other sea birds as well as a Jackal.
Day 2 was a trip out for the Sandwich Harbour Experience along the beach and through the coastal dunes. Lots of sea birds, jackals enjoying a seal carcass, ostrich, springbok etc. Rudi from Turnstone Tours was excellent - very informative. and interesting. We also had a wonderful lasagna for lunch among the dunes.
Lots of secure parking at the hotel and a delightful young lady on reception who helped us to sort out some confusion over one of our activities. The hotel only serves breakfast, but there are plenty of places to eat within reach." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia
