"A dream trip"

I visited Namibia between 27 Aug 2019 and 19 Sep 2019
"We loved everything about our trip. The choice of lodges was excellent. The car hire perfect. The route on the map was good and we didn't get lost. Frankly it would be hard to do better.

Thank you" Read full review: 23 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

I visited Namibia between 24 Aug 2019 and 9 Sep 2019
"In arranging this trip your staff listened carefully to our expectations and wishes, discussed with us which places would suit and provided us with a comprehensive view of Namibia with so much of its variety and wonderful peoples.

The materials you provided added so much.

Thank you all!" Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 16 on a Namibia trip

"Great Trip"

I visited Namibia between 20 Aug 2019 and 8 Sep 2019
"More than met our expectations - we had a fantastic time.

The accommodation was mostly outstanding - we could hardly believe some of the rooms were ours!

The itinerary worked really well. We were fortunate to see a huge amount of wildlife and to have the opportunity to enjoy the scale of the landscape. The roads were sometimes interesting! The Renault Duster was lovely to drive.

'Solitaire' was well worth a stop.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

No [Ed: suggestions] - but we would like to thank Tom for his involvement in what proved to be a memorable trip.

Including the guidebook and marking the route on the map was particularly helpful.

Thank you." Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 17 on a Namibia trip

"My Aug 2019 trip"

I visited Namibia between 3 Aug 2019 and 13 Aug 2019
"Maruska was so great to work with! It all started with a phone call to your main number. Although I'm in the US and she's in New Zealand, the time and geographical difference didn't matter. She encouraged me to rent a car which initially worried me but I'm so glad that we did. It gave us a lot of flexibility. She was right, we didn't need to rent a GPS. We did buy a SIM card at the Windhoek airport along with some data. That was essential for navigating Windhoek and Swakomund. Thanks goodness for Google maps.

We exchanged many emails and she was always kind and thoughtful with her answers. We really liked the leather travel folder and luggage tags. The travel folder was a good location to keep our documents and vouchers.

The booklet on Notes for Travelers to Namibia & The Coast was very helpful and I appreciated having it as a reference. It was good to know about tipping and the infrastructure. And that the tap water was safe to drink!

I found out about your travel organization because of the Namibia travel book written by Chris McIntyre. I'm excited to donate the new book that you sent along with my maps to the library. When I was researching Namibia, our library didn't have any travel books. Now they will!" Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 6 on a Namibia trip

"EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME"

I visited Namibia between 2 Aug 2019 and 19 Aug 2019
"Thank you so much to Expert Africa and especially Maruska for making this trip possible and specifically tailored for us.

Maruska spent a lot of time tailoring the programme for us and answering ALL our questions (and we had a lot!) always in a very timely manner. Once in Namibia, everything went very smoothly and was easy.

We had an amazing time, in exceptional places and this trip would not have been possible without Maruska's help

Thank you!

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

We should do more advertisement in countries outside UK. I am a French national and my family was very keen using a French agency but after a few exchanges with Maruska I could tell she was more efficient/responsive than people at other agencies.

Great services, thank you so much!" Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip

"Everything was perfect, thanks Maruska!"

I visited Namibia between 1 Aug 2019 and 11 Aug 2019
"My daughter and I went on a girls' road trip round Namibia as a post exam/pre uni adventure for her. We wanted to experience the best Namibia has to offer, but with without worrying.

Our trip was arranged by Maruska who got this completely and could not have taken more care in understanding all aspects of what we wanted and masterminding a detailed itinerary to ensure that's exactly what we got. She never lost patience as she tried to find accommodation for us even though we were booking late and capacity was low..and then we changed out minds! We had one hiccup with a misunderstanding on a booking when we checked out...one call and it was all sorted!

I have recommended Expert Africa to everyone I meet who is planning a trip to Africa, and I wouldn't contemplate using anyone else when we visit again. I only wish we could use EA to book all our holidays.

We had a holiday of a lifetime and so much of that was down to Maruska's knowledge, contacts and above all understanding better than we did what we wanted, and delivering it all.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Our experience centred around Maruska and could not have been better. I feel confident that her fantastic levels of service would be replicated by other country specialists. As I said in an earlier comment, I just wish we could book all our holidays with you. Next time we head to Africa we will come straight to you. Well done!" "Our best family holiday to date! "

I visited Namibia between 27 Jul 2019 and 11 Aug 2019
"We have had many family holidays but this was one of the best.
Tom at Africa Expert was brilliant at helping me put together our itinerary - and making suggesting on things to do and see and at finding the best lodges for our budget - and they were all great.
There is such a variety of things to do and see in Namibia - and self driving gives you so much flexibility. (Tom had even given us a map which had the route highlighted in felt pen so we couldn't get lost!)
Our highlights were: the sand dunes at Sossusvlei, the rock engravings at Twyfelfontein, Ongava Lodge and Etosha National Park.
If you are going at peak season it is worth thinking of booking certain activities in advance. We wanted to go kayaking with seals in Swakopmund but we tried 5 different companies and all were fully booked.
We will definitely return to Namibia!" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip

"Third time with Expert Africa, still happy"

I visited Namibia and 2 other countries between 27 Jul 2019 and 25 Aug 2019
"Except for the very bad experience with Bidvest Car Hire (hired through Expert Africa), once again, we had very good experiences using Expert Africa for assisting with planning and booking the trip. We got highly qualified, fast and efficient help from Tracy Lederer from Expert Africa putting together a good trip to this part of Africa, where we have traveled may times, although were were late out booking.

We look forward to use Expert Africa again (our travel agent for the Southern parts of Africa)." Read full review: 29 nights in Africa; 21 on a Namibia trip

"Trip to Namibia and Vic Falls"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 25 Jul 2019 and 12 Aug 2019
"Overall our trip was amazing. I had a good idea of the route that we wanted to follow and Sabina did a great job of juggling the lodge bookings, getting the car organised etc.

A couple of comments that hopefully help future guests:

- The distances are far and we felt that 2 nights max at any particular spot was not really enough. We wish we had stayed 3 nights at Hoodia and Onguma, both of which were fantastic.

- Bullsport was awful - see my review. We should have gone straight to Hoodia.

- Didn't like Etosha Safari Camp. I had really wanted to stay at Okakeujo but was told it was full. Was all accomodation really full there? Could more have been done to get a spot there?" Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip
