"Dabis Guest Farm review"

1 night Arrived 15 Aug 2009
"This was one of the 'high' points of the trip. We had travelled exensively through the country and were fascinated to hear how farmers managed to scratch a living from this inhospitable land.

The farmer's enthusiasm for their farming methods, water extraction, the climate, their family history, their hopes and fears for the future was truely infectious. We enjoyed every moment of our drive.

The accommodation was delightfully presented and the swimming pool was for swimming as the tennis court was for playing on." See all these reviews: 24n in Namibia; 11n in South Africa

"Dabis Guest Farm Review"

1 night Arrived 27 Aug 2008
"We were really very pleased with our stay here. The owner and his wife simply could not have been more accommodating and friendly. (So was their new baby who was introduced to us and did nothing but smile).

They are forward thinking people who have a long term plan for their farm which is fascinating to learn about. They are environmentally sensitive and showed great enthusiasm to answer what must have been questions they have heard so many times before. Their pride in what they are doing was infectious and we were sorry to leave.

We thought this was just a stop over to break the journey but it turned out to be much much more." See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"Dabis Guest Farm review"

1 night Arrived 6 Mar 2008
"The location was beautiful and the accommodation was clean, tidy and spacious. The driveway up to the farm was a bit hard going for a 2wd as the farmer had put in some new humps which were a bit big for my car (we scraped over them) - but he had only just done this and mine was the first 2wd to come up the drive so he welcomed the feedback, even though it was a bit negative!!. I'm sure he will get the problem resolved though.

The couple running the farm and guesthouse were absolutely lovely. We went on a fantastic drive around the farm and had a great chat about what he does there. Excellent hosts and we really enjoyed our overnight stay here." See all these reviews: 18n in Namibia
