"We had a wonderful holiday."

I visited Namibia between 21 Apr 2008 and 3 May 2008
"Apart from the problem with Europcar, our trip was truly memorable. We have travelled extensively and Namibia currently holds the number one spot.

The overall level of service was excellent as was the organisation." Read full review: 12 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip

"Fantastic and memorable Namibia !"

I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 16 Apr 2008 and 10 May 2008
"A truly memorable trip, everything we could have wanted - the lodges, the activities, the food, the sights ! Hire car was trouble-free, and all the roads were in excellent condition despite recent exceptional rainy season.

The Mainliner bus from Livingstone to Windhoek was a convenient link from the Falls, and is recommended for adventurous travellers, but not for those who demand to travel 5-star ! The staff were helpful and very pleasant.....but it was a LONG way - 22 hours altogether.

The advice and guidance from Expert Africa staff, especially Gwynneth and Chris, went a long way in ensuring a successful trip. So many wonderful highlights, it would be invidious to name one above others.

We just wish all travel opeators could be as efficeint, obliging, knowledgable and 'common sense' as Expert Africa ! This is our second trip with you, and we have already recommended you to other potential travellers." Read full review: 24 nights in Africa; 12 on a Namibia trip

"How many superlatives can you fit on one line"

I visited Namibia between 4 Apr 2008 and 23 Apr 2008
"It was wondeful; great; fantastic; marvellous; and terrific!

The people in general were very good (minor hassle from the gem sellers in Uis), and the service better than expected. The lodges were all quite good, and again exceeded expectation.

I would defintely recommend Namibia to anyone who wants to go, and can also vouch for most of the overnight stays we did. Just remember to book a 4 wheel drive car!" Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip

"We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Namibia - it has left a lasting inmpression on us. We will be recommending that our friends visit this country.

We felt that the suggested itinerary was very well planned and the information sent was superb. Daily driving distances were about right." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 11 on a Namibia trip

"Couldn't ask for more..."

I visited Namibia between 19 Mar 2008 and 3 Apr 2008
"To be honest, we really don't think Gwynneth could have done a better job. We booked the trip late so there was a lot of fiddling around with dates etc, but everything ended up exactly as we wanted. All of your recommendations for places to stay were spot on.

It was very reassuring that Gwynneth has stayed in so many of the place, so advice was very accurate. In fact, we've already recommended expertafrica to a friend." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 13 on a Namibia trip

"A very enjoyable trip with a touch of luxury"

I visited Namibia between 27 Feb 2008 and 20 Mar 2008
"We both really enjoyed our road trip around Namibia. Expert Africa were really excellent in organising our itinerary and I felt really secure in the knowledge that all the accommodation was booked up correctly so that when we arrived from a long drive to a lodge or guesthouse everything was in order. It was great to just hand over a voucher and not have to mess around with credit cards or passport details.

We were advised to rent a 4x4 but we took the risk in hiring a 2wd during one of the better rainy seasons that Namibia has experienced.... Things were a bit dodgy in places with relatively deep water to cross and many bits of slippery muddy patches and rocks to navigate around but we did it and that gave us a more adventurous edge to our holiday which lead to some good escape stories when we got back!!

The scenery was spectacular, the animals gorgeous and the vast open spaces a fantastic escape from the hustle and bustle of London. I loved every minute of my holiday and would highly recommend Expert Africa to anyone planning a trip to Namibia.

The pack that was sent out prior to the trip was excellent. The map all marked out with our route and places we were staying at was fantastic. All the added details like copies of brochures and print out of maps was fantastic too. I really felt confident in the hands of Expert Africa and everything went according to plan on a 3 week trip so it was a nice treat for me to put the organising of a holiday in the hands of someone else. I have never done this before and you did it brilliantly." Read full review: 22 nights in Africa; 18 on a Namibia trip

"Namibia Tour 2008"

I visited Namibia between 13 Feb 2008 and 28 Feb 2008
"An excellent trip, but much wetter than we expected (We had been to Namibia in February before and saw no rain).

This is a good time of year to see everything green (even in the desert) and the young animals in Etosha.

Very quiet in Etosha. We watched a rhino for 30 minutes and no other car came along.

With two spare tyres we had no punctures this time. We managed easily without a 4x4 - I would not have attempted to cross the Tsauchab in flood even with a 4x4 as the water was above my knees and flowing fast. No problems with the car and very helpful staff at Windhoek airport." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip

"A thoroughly enjoyable trip"

I visited Namibia between 13 Feb 2008 and 29 Feb 2008
"A thoroughly enjoyable trip; Tracy successfully matched our interests and preferences with the accommodation and avtivities she recommended. She had advised a 4WD vehicle as we were travelling in the rainy season; advice we recalled on the 3 occasions we got stuck (but in sandy river beds / approaches on D-roads, not in deep water). The Yaris we had was basically too low-slung to the ground. Luckily we received help each time but it did make driving in some of the remoter areas rather nerve-racking wondering what was at the bottom of the next dip! in the roadl.

We found the Namibian people welcoming and friendly and hope that, in the places where we stayed, profits remain to benefit the local communities. We did see and hear some evidence of this but were not always sure. It was fun occasionally bumping into people we'd met before, as they tended to follow similar routes.." "We will return to Namibia!"

I visited Namibia between 9 Feb 2008 and 26 Feb 2008
"Our experience in Namibia was overwhelmingly positive. We definitely would like to return in the not too distant future.

When we return, we would want to explore whether there is some way of staying in less luxurious places (short of camping).

We would definitely use Expert Africa again - we have never had such excellent service from anyone in any sphere!" Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 16 on a Namibia trip
