"BullsPort Lodge & Farm review"

1 night Arrived 4 Mar 2022
"This is a lovely guest farm but also remains a working farm. We had stayed before a number of years ago and the property remains of a high quality with very clean and comfortable rooms, excellent wi-fi coverage across the whole property (sufficient to live stream etc).

The owners and staff are exceptionally welcoming and friendly and spent time chatting to us when we were in the public areas. The food is homemade, most grown / produced in the property and that which is not, is purchased locally. We enjoyed a lovely 3 course dinner with exceptionally tasty vegetables and meat, homemade bread and with dairy elements produced from their cows. It tasted amazing. This was also true of our very fresh breakfast.

A good place to stop on the way to the dunes of Sossusvlei, with walking trails and the chance to walk the very scenic Quiver Tree Gorge." See all these reviews: 22n in Namibia

"BullsPort Lodge & Farm review"

2 nights Arrived 3 Aug 2021
"The welcome at the lodge was rather impersonal. The introduction was limited to a brief explanation of the bar facilities, being provided with the keys to our rooms and told that dinner was at 7pm.

We had been expecting to eat with other guests but this was not possible due to COVID restrictions. While this is understandable we were left to feel excluded as the hosts spent almost the entire time with their German speaking guests.

The hosts were very apologetic following a breakdown of the hot water supply to our rooms but this did result in us having to move both parent and children to other rooms.

Our guide to and the walking excursion the gorge were excellent.

The visit behind the scenes of the farm was good.

Overall and in hindsight we would skip Bullsport and drive the extra distance to Naukluft" See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia

"great experience
Unlike the hotel the visit to the farm gives a lovely homely atmosphere
A good look at life in Namibia
Wonderful location after a pleasant drive from Winhawk
Offer great activity
We chose the Quiver Tree Gorge Trail one of the most beautiful and pleasant trails including swimming in the creek
Those who did not choose to act - lost
Also the long Kudu Trail before sunset
The owner of the place is a wonderful woman" See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

"We enjoyed the stay in this lodge.

We were able to do three hikes in their premise, one is a self guide with good marking. Another two with a guide and the 4 Wheel drive.

The Quiver tree gorge walk as well as the arch walk are beautiful. We saw mountain zébras, plants ....." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"Bullsport was a Great Place to Stay"

1 night Arrived 1 Sep 2019
"Bullsport was again a place in transit to our southerly destination of Soussesvlei.

Having said that, the hosts were fantastic and made us feel very welcome.

The food was wholesome and served with the hosts and guests, all sat around a large table for all to enjoy.

We asked to go on the afternoon horse and carriage drive around the farm and were treated to a very informative hour or two looking around and watching the wildlife.

We enjoyed our stay very much." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia

"Real Family Feel"

2 nights Arrived 23 Aug 2019
"Really enjoyed our day out with Looda. Seeing loads of Hartmann's Mountain Zebra and getting the panoramic view from high up in the Naukluft Mountains. Then the magical hike through Quiver Tree Canyon - a bit exciting in places!! We also did a couple of pleasant way-marked walks from the Farm.

Sanny was particularly helpful and very personable.

Food was great and dining arrangements just like being part of a big family - Johanna and Ernst were lovely hosts." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia

"To be avoided"

1 night Arrived 26 Jul 2019
"The only reason we stayed here was because of the advertised kloof that Bullspoort is supposedly at the base of for "easy access" and walking. It turns out that the kloof is about 5km away and the rock pools only accessable if you do the all day walk which requires ferrying to and from by vehicle.

The staff were not particularly friendly and one got the sense that everything needed to be done according to the way the owner wanted it done otherwise the staff would be in trouble. Examples were "sorry I cannot give you the wifi code, you need to get that from the manager, we are not allowed to know what it is" to the staff getting extremely agitated when we were not all seated at 7.30 for dinner. Then the poor staff members have to serve you dinner and then sit at the table with you making small talk which was very awkward.

When we did have any dealings with the owner he was pretty surly." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia; 3n in Zimbabwe
