"Great Walking!"
Accommodation itself was excellent and well styled and whole lodge very attractively designed and beautifully maintained.
Food was some of the simplest we have experienced in Namibia and breakfast in particular was noticeably basic but adequate. Dinner was more appetising than it looked but service was poor by both restaurant staff who totally ignored us and at the bar when it took an age to get a bottle of water to have with the meal as noone offered us drinks. It all felt a bit like a canteen and that the staff were all disgruntled. The hygiene in the dining are was also suspect and the whole dining experience was out of kilter with the overall image and appearance of the lodge as a whole.

The lodge agrees that at certain times they have two or three groups checking in at the same time which would slow the process down. They are aware of this and will plan measures to ensure that any future check-ins are done with the minimum of delay and fuss. The lodge also agreed that they are limited with parking places and the space can quickly fill. They are currently busy with plans to enlarge their parking areas.
Vingerklip Lodge appreciated that the guests found their food appetising and adequate. They consciously choose to offer simple but hearty and tasty meals, however they are always happy to accept useful suggestions on improving the fare they offer. The lodge would like to apologise for the ‘disgruntled’ service the clients received. They are looking into this matter thoroughly and will take the appropriate action to ensure that it doesn’t occur again.
