"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 12 Oct 2015
"A very interesting place to stay in a wonderful location with pleasant easy walks available.

Quite a few steps to climb between rooms and communal areas but that was inevitable in the unique location. So not a complaint but something to be aware of if this is a problem to anyone.

Staff very friendly and just under new management as at October 2015 who were excellent. Rooms could be hot in the hot season but that is probably an aspect of many Lodges and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay." See all these reviews: 21n in Namibia

"A surprise highlight.

The rooms are huge and airy with wonderful bathrooms and terraces. Great service from all the staff and the guided walks were a particular highlight. Sad we only spent one night here en route to Damaraland." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia

"They seem to struggle to find activities. We went on a couple of guided walks, but there isn't much to see.

The sundowner drive was expensive and disappointing - again not much to see.

Excellent steak dinner" See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia; 3n in Zimbabwe

"A completely unexpected location, which we enjoyed exploring on foot with an extremely knowledgeable guide.

We stayed in a well-appointed tent on stilts, with open-air bathroom.

The camp was thoughtfully laid out, blending in with its surroundings, whilst affording privacy for each tent." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia; 5n in Zambia; 2n in Zimbabwe; 2n in Botswana

"Perfect end to our adventure"

2 nights Arrived 29 Sep 2015
"It was so kind of you to arrange for us to have the honeymoon suite - thank you. We appreciated the complimentary sparkling wine in the fridge too. The setting of this lodge was fabulous and we loved it.

We went on the early morning guided walk and were the only guests so had the undivided attention of our very knowledgeable guide. We again learned such a lot. We chose to have a lazy day once we got back and just enjoyed watching the birds from the sitting room and also from our verandah. It was a very relaxing last day - perfect in every way.

The evening meals and breakfasts were excellent and the new manager (who only arrived 6 days previously) was very friendly and welcoming." See all these reviews: 16n in Namibia

"Great hiking at Erongo Wilderness Lodge"

1 night Arrived 20 Sep 2015
"We loved the location of Erongo Wilderness Lodge, and the tented rooms built along the side of a rocky hill.

There were some lovely walks in the area.

We only had one night at this lodge on our way to Windhoek, and would have been happy to have stayed for a second night!" See all these reviews: 15n in Namibia

"Stunning lodge"

1 night Arrived 13 Sep 2015
"Sadly we only had time for one night in this stunning location amongst the boulders where three different geological regions clash.

Still, time for a great afternoon walk and scramble on the rocks, a beautiful sunset, cocktails and a delicious dinner under the stars (watching the animals coming to the floodlit waterhole) and a hearty breakfast enjoyed whilst attempting to identify all the early-morning birdlife.

Should have stayed 2 nights!" See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia
