"Outrageous"
Sylvester was an incredible guide. Malcolm was average." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia; 6n in Zambia
"Still excellent in every way ."
The food is exceptional and Catherine acts as a superb hostess as well as chef.
Walking is possible but no longer top of the agenda. Most guests come for the photographic opportunities and the excellent hides.
Guiding was variable. At its best superb. Newcomer to the guiding team ,Shane , made an excellent impression." See all these reviews: 15n in Zambia
"Kaingo Camp review"
The food was really good and the staff, overseen by Eve, looked after us extremely well. The drives were excellent with our guide Yorum. Like Tafika the night drives were wonderful. We saw a porcupine, honey badgers, civets, and genets. And also some hunting lionesses walking around the truck, while we were trying to photograph a rare owlet." "Incredible Experience"
The facilities are lovely. Each room is decorated with care and all amenities are available that one could need. The outdoor tubs are a wonderful addition to the rooms. And each chalet has it's own deck out by the river which provides a wonderful area that is private to spend time at during the day. The main gathering area is warm and the food is very tasty.
Would highly recommend this camp for anyone wanting a wonderful safari camp experience." See all these reviews: 13n in Zambia
"Exceptional Game Viewing"
Accommodation was very comfortable and each chalet has it's own private viewing gallery over the river. Food was again very good with all dietary requirements catered for.
Although most guests were frequent return visitors we were still welcomed as newbies, and will certainly be back ourselves one day" See all these reviews: 14n in Zambia
"Kaingo Camp 27 - 30 July"
The rooms are really luxurious and set by the river, each with a private viewing deck on to the river. What better way is there to spend a day after an early morning game drive, than lazing on the seats there watching the world go by - crocs, hippos, kingfishers, eagles etc etc?
The staff all worked tirelessly to ensure we had everything we wanted - and the food was so good I put on more weight than I'd like to admit!
We had Hendrix as our guide - wonderful game sightings including one noisy incident involving three leopards up the same tree!
Would highly recommend this place to anyone thginking of a visit to the South Lunagwa" See all these reviews: 9n in Zambia
"Our seventh visit need we say more"
Everybody is always very friendly and helpful. Over the years there have been updates to the rooms but never to the detriment of the ambience.
The game viewing was excellent.
A special mention should be made for the way they worked to ensure the moon eclipse on the beach was a memorable night." See all these reviews: 15n in Zambia
"Kaingo Camp review"
The camp was run very efficiently and we much enjoyed the pre dinner drinks in the main area with the other guests.
We had a surprise brunch one day on the river bank with a full ‘African ‘ breakfast. A very nice treat." See all these reviews: 9n in Zambia
"Kaingo Camp review"
"Kaingo - a touch of luxury"
Our guide at Kaingo was Yoram, once again. His knowledge is wide-ranging and he picked up on our interest in birds, spotting and identifying many that we hadn't seen, let alone known before. His tracking skills are outstanding - we were so impressed with his ability to locate leopards that seemed totally hidden in deep bush, and lions that were calling softly from a distance. As always, his positioning of the vehicle to get the best light for photography was exemplary.
We traveled in June this year - earlier than ever before. We saw a much greener landscape, with more water in lagoons and channels, but the downside of this was that the game was more dispersed. However we saw different packs of wild dogs - our first sightings ever. Like nearly all the animals they were relaxed and unbothered by our presence." See all these reviews: 8n in Zambia
