"My Jun 2024 trip"
Thank you so much also for helping deal with the bag panic at the start of the trip, we don't know who was ultimately responsible for getting it to us but thank you to the Expert Africa team, Maggie at Natural Selection in Maun, and Noli and Teo at Camp Kalahari.
Special poo poo to British Airways for landing us 2 hours late and causing the mess in the first place." Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 9 on a Botswana safari
"Our amazing trip - WOW!"
We had the best holiday ever, everything about it from the booking, the flights and pick ups, the accommodations, food, animal experiences and staff - we cannot fault anything or anyone - just perfect.

"My May 2024 trip"
It was very easy to communicate with Maruska, I lost count of the many emails back and forth.
Just before final payment was due our first camp communicated rather vaguely about a change of operations there. Maruska and Chris put in a lot of effort to find out what exactly was going on and how if would affect are stay.
Working with a company that has its feet on the ground in Africa and knows the operators personally was really an advantage here. Eventually we had to change camps because of the situation but that was handled very swiftly." Read full review: 19 nights in Africa; 16 on a Zambia safari
"My May 2024 trip"
Africa is magical and if you are thinking of going, you will not regret it. This was my third time and I will go back. We have many amazing memories of the landscape, people and animals that we will carry with us." Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 9 on a Zambia safari
"Our May 2024 trip"
It is interesting comparing our many visits as the weather, vegetation and river change with the seasons and phenomena like El Niño. Animal and bird densities also vary. The more often we return the more we learn about the wildlife and the ecosystem.
We are happy with Expert Africa and very pleased with the service that Lucy provided. However we are concerned about rising costs. We acknowledge that inflation has been a serious problem and that the US dollar remains very strong. We would like to make an annual visit to Zambia but know that this is no longer affordable." "My May 2024 trip"
It has been a drier than usual year, so the grass wasn't too high but the scenery was stunning and green.
Overall, a very enjoyable trip." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 14 on a Zambia safari
"My Apr 2024 trip"
Both camps offered something slightly different although going into the same park. I was lucky to have the safari vehicle to myself for 5 of the 8 days and had amazing leopard sightings and night drive. Any time I asked for anything - leaving slightly earlier for drive, visiting local school (although I found out it was school holidays, a teacher showed me the buildings etc and driver showed me round a village), it was accommodated easily.
I think it is worth noting that you have to climb down steps cut in the bank to reach the boat - might not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues - I was fine.
I did feel that there was a lot of waste when I was the only one in camp and a full buffet breakfast was prepared - perhaps if this is the case they could ask the night before if there is a special request for the next day - for example I could have said no to porridge and toast so that chef didn't have to get up especially!
Having been on safari many times before, I am aware of how lovely the camps are and what a special place Luangwa is.

Not really - I had good detailed emails while we planned the trip and I sorted out my flights etc.
