"Zambezi Sun review"

2 nights Arrived 11 Oct 2010
"In my opinion the hotel was perfectly clean and the staff were helpful and pleasant.

However the Victoria Falls from the Zambia side is uninspiring, especially at this time of year. I am very glad that I did not end my trip here.

The river trip was very enjoyable." See all these reviews: 7n in Botswana; 2n in Zambia

"A bit of a shock to be in a large hotel after the camps! But it was a good location and the room was perfectly acceptable.

Food and ambience was standard for a large mid quality hotel so we took advantage of the much nicer sister hotel for sundoweners the first night and evening meal the second night - dinner booking essential, hence we only managed to get in for second night.

We walked across to Zimbabwe on the whole day that we had there which was well worth the cost and effort. And the sundowner cruise on the African Queen was a great way to spend the final sundown of our holiday." See all these reviews: 6n in Botswana; 2n in Zambia

"Zambezi Sun review"

2 nights Arrived 22 Sep 2010
"This place is just in a different league compared to the rest of the places we stayed. Just cannot fault anything here.

Perfect location. Food really tremendous. Perhaps not cheap, the evening buffet costs US$39 pp, but the quality and choice was outstanding representing very good value. We ate in the Squires restaurant the 2nd evening, and the standard of service was very high indeed.

On leaving the hotel, we were left somewhat in the lurch when our expected transport to the airport at 10am did not arrive. The head porter, unprompted, offered to help and looked at our voucher for this trip. It did not specify which local operator would actually be picking us up. The hotel then phoned all the normal ones until they found the one who was due to pick us up (at 10.30 as it happened). This was really excellent service (and a suggestion for Expert Africa to put the name of the local operator on the voucher!)." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia; 2n in Zambia

"Little like a holiday camp"

2 nights Arrived 15 Aug 2010
"This place was like staying in your typical family holiday camp although for the victoria falls you are limited for accomadation I guess, somehow they rate this place as 4 star??

They refused to serve the 2 children with breakfast unless we paid for them $8 each although I thought we had paid for B&B the restaurant service was the worst I have experienced, we had to ask for cups, then coffee, juice, sugar the lot, certainly not 4*

The beds were so small it seemed like 4 of us had 2 single beds between us. Having said that our evening meals just off complex at squires was lovely although expensive" See all these reviews: 8n in Namibia; 2n in Botswana; 2n in Zambia

"Brilliant location"

2 nights Arrived 10 Aug 2010
"The proximity to the Falls makes this an excellent spot to stay - getting up early and being the only people by the falls at one point was fabulous.

The hotel is a little sterile but comfortable.

Breakfasts were good but evening eating a little limited in options. Very pleasant to relax by the pool." See all these reviews: 9n in Namibia; 4n in Botswana; 2n in Zambia

2 nights Arrived 1 Aug 2010
"For a short stay, just to visit the Victoria Falls, the hotel had a superb location – on a short walking distance from the Falls. The hotel is big, comfortable, though would not have been our first choice for a longer stay. For this occasion however, it was perfect. Staff is very friendly.

The helicopter flight over the falls was worth every penny!

Transfers from/to airport were efficient and well in time." See all these reviews: 9n in Botswana; 2n in Zambia
