"Excellent, far exceeded our high expectations. We particularly enjoyed the two week self-drive in Namibia with our friends in convoy. All the accommodations more than met our needs and budget with Camp Kipwe and Ongava Camp being the absolute high lights.
The EuropCar Toyota Hilux vehicles were comfortable and robust and gave confidence on the corrugated roads (Landcruiser not needed) and staff both ends of the trip were terrific.
The Wilderness Meet and Greet Service at Windhoek Airport was tremendously helpful getting SIM cards, ATM and assistance with hire car, coolbox was really appreciated. If you're travelling in convoy, consider using walkie talkies as phone coverage was often very limited.
Expert Africa (Tom Morris and Chris McIntyre) were very responsive in dealing with our missed flights from Frankfurt to Windhoek, we felt very reassured by their involvement and actions."

"An unusual, quirky place but lovely all the same.
Again, very good staff and lovely breakfasts, good location and room with a difference, just al little on the dark side.
Did a very good trip driving in the dunes in 4x4 vehicles with guides, very exciting."

"Our favourite place!
Beautiful area, the camp is built into the rocks which made the bedrooms and bathrooms very unique.
The food was excellent and the staff were very pleasant and attentive.
The game drive to see the rock paintings, Burnt Mountain and the Organ Pipes was very interesting too. We also did an early morning game drive to see the Desert Elephants which was magical."

"Lovely clean rooms with balcony and 5 elephants to look at on our arrival.
Although the lodge was very nice, we felt we were just a number there as it is so large.
Didn't have a great reception on arrival, but the mechanic did fix our puncture for which we were very grateful!"

"Another excellent lodge, very comfortable rooms with great views over the plains.
We were tired here and decided to stay at the lodge and spent several hours in the hide where the game came to us!

"Lovely hotel where we could see the spray of the Falls from our balcony and hear the water.
Very helpful staff and great food. Very nice pool too.
We walked to the Falls from the Lodge, about a 10 minute walk and walked at our own pace along Falls.
Did sundowner cruise in the evening which was lovely but very touristy!"

"This camp is run on a very tight schedule and we felt it was a little too prescriptive.
After long games drives it was difficult to get back to our room for showers as we had to be escorted by our guide who was also tired and had other clients to deal with.
We never sat round the camp fire in the evening as were encouraged to get to bed - again because the guides were tired and wanted to get to bed"

Feedback response
We were sorry these travellers didn't have the kind of experience we would usually expect from the Splash Camp team, although we were pleased to see they saw lots of wildlife during their stay. We passed these comments to the camp's management team, and they were sorry to hear these travellers found the camp too prescriptive; they generally pride themselves on being flexible and adaptable. They have taken steps to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Although we had to eat at the lodge 5 minutes drive away, this was not an issue.
Rooms were very clean and very pleasant staff.
We also did a very enjoyable activity to see Sossusvlei dunes, Dead Vlei and Sesriem Canyon from Sossusvlei Lodge."
