River Crossing
"River Crossing review"

Okonjima Plains Camp
"Okonjima Plains Camp review"
The main Camp sitting/dining area with wood burners overlooking the water hole was very atmospheric. The small shop was good and on reflection the best we saw."

Anderssons Camp, Namibia (this camp has since closed)
"Anderssons Camp review"
Our only criticism of the tent was that it was a little on the small size and very close to an electric fence - parallel to our verandah.
During our short stay there was not a great deal of activity at the waterhole nut the underground hide was appreciated."

Hobatere Lodge
"Hobatere Lodge review"
Hobatere Lodge and the small round houses reminded us of a Mission Hospital/School that you would find in other parts of Africa and so we felt "at home" !
The feature that we enjoyed the most at Hobatere Lodge was the hide at the waterhole some distance away from the main Lodge. We were driven there and remained for several hours amazed at the number of game visiting.
A couple of days before our arrival lions had come close to the Lodge and spent some time lying on top of the generator at the waterhole - huge excitement !
Unfortunately there were no guided walks on offer - maybe that will be rectified in the future."

Damaraland Camp
"Damaraland Camp review"
It deserves the highest of accolades.
Abner our Guide for the Desert elephants was outstanding - by far the best guide of the whole holiday. The Staff manage to engender real enthusiasm for whatever they are doing.. Two of the Cooks were happy to give me a guided tour of their kitchen !
The Manager contacted Wilderness Safaris at Windhoek Airport in an attempt to track down any progress reports on Katrina's missing luggage."

Sam's Giardino
"Sam's Giardino review"
This is an understated haven !
He was very helpful in providing us with a map and instructions on how to reach the two garages to purchase a new tyre.
Excellent food and superb wine !"

BullsPort Lodge and Farm
"Bullsport Guest Farm review"
We listened enthralled by Ernst Sauber talking about the problems the farm encounters - foot and mouth/draught/conservation/leopard attacks etc.and of course the future of Namibia in general
The only disappointment was that Katrina could not go on a Horseriding trail as the horses had been moved away from the farm and Johanna Sauber was away for a couple of days Just bad luck !. Johanna was extremely apologetic.
Probably best to let them know in advance if keen to ride"

Kulala Desert Lodge
"Kulala Desert Lodge review"
The thatched kulalas were delightful."

Wolwedans Dune Camp
"Wolwedans Dune Camp review"
Albi Bruckner and the other shareholders were present for a series of meetings.
The furnishings of the tents were straight "Out of Africa" with a beautiful deck. The Oryx were always close by !"

Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch
"Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch review"
Is it trying to attract "weekenders" from Windhoek.? This is the first place where on arrival we were presented with a list of activities and prices - also evident on a Tablet in our room.
We wanted to leave at 06:00 am - breakfast pack had been ordered but not ready on time - just minor irritations as was the poor waiter/waitress service for the Buffet evening meal."
A quiet and relaxing ambience with friendly Staff."
