Bird Walks - at an additional cost

The lake features over 240 species of bush, swamp and water birds. Enjoy a guided morning walk (07.00) or late afternoon walk (16.30) to see these indigenous birds in their natural habitat. The duration of the walk is about 2 to 3 hours, and the maximum number of participants is eight people.

Body Stretch Lessons - at an additional cost

Cooking Lessons - at an additional cost

Learn how to prepare five-star African dishes. Our chef offers lessons every day at 5:00 p.m.

Guided Nature and Bird Walks - at an additional cost

The Western Serengeti is rich in fauna and flora. Take a mid-morning or late afternoon work with our experienced resident naturalist while listening to the wonderful melodies of a variety of birds species.

Lake Cruise - at an additional cost

Enjoy a motorboat cruise on Lake Victoria, where you will see fishermen pulling in their nets and men and women working on their fields or washing their laundry. On the cruise you can bird watch, take photos and visit with villagers.

Lake Victoria Canoe trip to a fishing village - at an additional cost

From the lodge, guests are picked up by the fishermen in their traditional canoes and taken along the shoreline to a nearby village. Here, guests can explore the village while learning about the traditions and cultures of the Sukuma people living at shoreline of Lake Victoria. This activity normally starts in the morning and the cost is USD $200 per canoe. The maximum number is eight people, and the price will be reduced if the number of people is two or one per canoe. The canoe trip also includes bird watching, both from the canoe and when exploring the village.
