Ruaha National Park

Ruaha is Tanzania’s largest national park.

It offers guided walking safaris...

...where you might spot some of the park’s fantastic birdlife...

...as well as a good amount of wildlife.

Ruaha is known for its dramatic scenery, including rolling hills...

...and open plains with skeletal baobab trees.

Ruaha’s wild and untrammelled feel sets it apart from other reserves.

"My Oct 2013 trip"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 5 Oct 2013 and 18 Oct 2013
"This was a great trip. We enjoyed it all. Although there was some negative observations about Impala we nevertheless enjoyed it . I do not think we would again travel to east Africa as late in the year as on this occasion. It was extremely hot and certainly in the Selous the rains came early. Rains were also expected in the Ruaha the day we left, again early for that region. Weather predictions as unstable in this region now as they are in the rest of the world.

Our itinerary was perfect and everything went like clockwork.

I believe this is our third African trip with you. Your company is very reliable with knowledgeable advisors offering trips that are competitively priced. We would not hesitate to travel with you to Africa a fourth time." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 8 on a Tanzania safari

Everything went very smoothly and it was great to find that all of our connections worked like clockwork.

"My Sep 2013 trip to Selous /Ruaha"

I visited Tanzania between 24 Sep 2013 and 4 Oct 2013
"We flew via Nairobi where the in-transit facilities on the outward flight were very poor. However, on the return journey we were taken to much better facilities for the time spent in in-transit at the airport. We flew by Kenya Airways which were very good.

They were on-time and the facilities and service on the planes were good. However, the check-in desk at Dar-es-Salaam airport only opened two and a half hours before the flight so we had a couple of hours sitting in a not very nice area before the desks opened. However, after checking in and going through passport control you are then in a very modern area.

However, besides the downside of long-haul travel, our time within Tanzania was wonderful. All the arrangements went smoothly, and the camps and wildlife lived up to expectation. We are extremely happy with our choice of camps and all our experiences.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

None that I can think of." Read full review: 10 nights in Africa; 8 on a Tanzania safari

"Overall an excellent trip"

I visited Tanzania and 1 other country between 19 Sep 2013 and 2 Oct 2013
"We love Ruaha and will doubtless go back in the future, Having been twice we will probably not return to Zanzibar although it is convenient for the beach following a week in the Tanzanian Parks. The atmosphere in Z is not great and I have a strong suspicion that a lot of people resent tourists.

I would not recommend transit through Nairobi try to fly direct to Dar.

Congratulations to Fox who held the flight (KA were late) so that we could connect to Jongomero.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

No. I will use you again." Read full review: 13 nights in Africa; 6 on a Tanzania safari

"good bar pole pole beech"

I visited Tanzania between 14 Sep 2013 and 24 Sep 2013
"All lovely bar pole pole beech - see comments. Should we use expert africa again we do need to get the beech/relax part sorted as this has been a problem three times now and, as I said, I had mentioned how important this would be to us given Zanzibar and mozambique."
