I visited Namibia and 1 other country between 17 Oct 2008 and 8 Nov 2008
"An excellent holiday all round
One big plus was that we stopped off on the way in order to meet some local people, who gave us a real insight into the pleasures and problems of living in Namibia.
The one hiccup came at Cape Town airport when the car failed to materialise. We therefore had to take a taxi to the vineyard.
Can I send you the receipt for reimbursement?" Read full review: 22 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip

I visited South Africa and 1 other country between 15 Oct 2008 and 12 Nov 2008
"First of all we must say thankyou for such an excellent holiday. We had a wonderful time and Namibia in particular was everything we hoped and expected for our second visit to the country. Throughout the accommodation was excellent and the food made a considerable impression at many of the places we stayed - we have the extra pounds to prove it!

In short a very ejoyable and successful holiday with lots of highlights, too many to mention, although the Baboons at Augrabies Falls and the three days of Whale watching at Hermanus will be remembered for a very long time. Oceans Eleven at Hermanus and Camps Bay Retreat were very good recommendatins so thanks Tracy for all your good ideas and helpfulness.

It was a super holiday and getting back to reality is proving very hard We are already working on the next trip to Nambia. What more can we say!" Read full review: 28 nights in Africa; 14 on a South Africa trip

"A family reunion to remember"

I visited South Africa between 12 Oct 2008 and 23 Oct 2008
"An ideal venue for a family reunion with something to cater for everyone's tastes. The party included two first-timers to Africa, and two relatively old hands, all of whom were more than satisfied.

Suggestions for improvement:

Keep us informed of any special rates or deals so we can go back!" Read full review: 11 nights in Africa; 10 on a South Africa trip

"The booking of Camps Bay was a poor recomendation for a 3 night of stay . After my several sugestions of Waterfront in Cape town we accpted the idea that it was very expensive and not much diference in acess. Wrongly and fortunately Camps Bay Retreat Management saved our stay by moving us to Waterfront Village, with superb location and rooms. This location is near shops restaurants and we allways felt safe. Please thank on my behalf Camps Bay Retreate Management" Read full review: 17 nights in Africa; 3 on a Botswana safari

"General comments"

I visited South Africa between 16 Dec 2007 and 30 Dec 2007
"A good trip was put together at short notice.

Generally the style of accomodation used was aimed at relaxed time in hotels rather than a more active agenda. Set dinners were a bit restrictive at most places - both the limited menus and the timings. Food appeared pricey compared with other SA experiences but we have nothing to compare with on this trip.

Two hotels did not have information about local places of interest - Rosenhof Country House, Oudtshorn and Hunters Lodge, Knysna.

Expert Africa's information about finding some hotels was insufficient - we had to research the web to find directions; predeparture information did not include advice about set meal times (which we found restrictive); Predeparture information was fragmented in the "book" provided, and covering letter; there was much more focus on Namibia than South Africa and it was not always clear which information related to which country." "Holiday satisfaction "

I visited South Africa and 1 other country between 7 Sep 2007 and 22 Sep 2007
"This was again a wonderful holiday which has given us so many wonderful experiences. The trip was taken at the right time of year to be able to see the wild flowers, the animals, the whales etc. Everything went according to plan. As amateur geologists we were able to get to places which have interesting rocks and rock formations - not everyone's idea of a good holiday I know. Some of these trips could not have been done without having had a "bakkie" and I would like to suggest that anyone thinking of doing this trip be recommended to hire one rather than a saloon.
The places we stayed had a good level of comfortable and friendly accomodation. Meals were generally good and we have now developed a taste for ostrich steaks as well as wines from the Orange River Region.

I found the literature supplied was very informative, especially the information concerning the border crossing formalities.

I very much appreciated the efficient way Mrs Scott dealt with the mix-up over the car hire when the credit card bill arrived.

The main problem with the holiday -- it wasn't long enough!!" Read full review: 15 nights in Africa; 11 on a South Africa trip
