"City & Genocide Memorial Tour review"

Based at Heaven Boutique Hotel on 30 Jun 2019
"Sula, our excellent driver/guide, started out with a driving tour of some of the important areas of the city, and finished at Kigali Genocide Memorial. We took longer than expected going through the very affecting exhibits, but Sula was perfectly OK waiting as long as we needed. The KGL was a very worthwhile stop. Learning more about the genocide makes the current peaceful condition that much more amazing.

We expected lunch at Hotel Mille Collines (the original “Hotel Rwanda”) and were a bit disappointed to be redirected to a different hotel. Lunch was lunch, but the fame of Mille Collines was an attraction that we were looking forward to. I understand the reason for the change, but Mille Collines should not have been promised in the itinerary." Read more about this whole safari

"Must go when you travel to Rwanda. Very moving and impressive.

Gives good background on the issue, with enough nuance on a very delicate and complicated matter." Read more about this whole safari

"City & Genocide Memorial Tour review"

"I had already done a city tour by the time I met Safari, so we went straight to the genocide museum. The museum is very well done; the content is harrowing. The gardens are peaceful and encourage reflection.

It was interesting to hear from Safari, and to have him answer my questions." Read more about this whole safari

Based at Hotel des Mille Collines on 22 Sep 2018
"Interesting.

Did not like the gardens. They were not properly maintained, and we thought the concepts a bit silly.
Although our flights determined when we visited, I would very much recommend seeing this at the start of a Rwanda trip." Read more about this whole safari

"Harrowing but essential"

Based at Kigali Serena Hotel on 24 Aug 2018
"I spent about 3 hours at the genocide Museum. The displays and voice overs are in English and French. I had an audio guide which was excellent.

The whole experience was very moving.

As well as the displays about the genocide against the Tutsis and its origins and consequences there is an exhibition about genocides in other countries and their origins." Read more about this whole safari
