"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 4 Nov 2008
"Ideal as a last stop. The tents are quite small and we found the bathroom very dark and open to wildlife! It is nice to have tea and coffee in the tent. We enjoyed the sun-downer (and the kudu sausage) and the very early morning walk. The guides were once again very keen and helpful.

The pool and the area around it are ideal to relax in before tackling the journey home. A visit to Omaruru is an interesting experience.

It would be useful to have some sort of alarm system like in Kulala and Doro Nawas as the chalets are spread out. Emergencies do happen." See all these reviews: 10n in Namibia

"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 30 Oct 2008
"Wonderful location, very well equipped tents. Brian and Adele were excellent hosts - lovely atmosphere, good choice of varied walks and excursions with guides. Good more adventurous food. A late breakfast after your early walk, served as brunch - afternoon tea also included.

Small waterhole visible from restaurant - lots of birds and small animals on site. Small but delightful pool." See all these reviews: 14n in Namibia; 9n in Botswana

"wonderful walking amongst the rocks"

2 nights Arrived 21 Oct 2008
"We thoroughly enjoyed this final location on our trip. The isolation and scenery were stunning. The outside area for the bathroom set in rocks and the views from the restaurant were wonderful.

The self guided trails were exciting and easy to follow and the guided walk was very informative and enjoyable. the dip in the pool was very welcome and the sundowner trek a pleasant experience. T

he staff were all very professional and friendly. Being at this lodge reinforced our feeling of freedom and wilderness offered by the country and made us feel very reluctant to leave and return to the hubub of Europe." See all these reviews: 17n in Namibia

"Erongo Wilderness Lodge review"

2 nights Arrived 20 Sep 2008
"A very different situation - mountains, rocks and huge boulders. We would have preferred one of the other tents with a better view.

It was very hot and there was a lot of irritating insects.

Not enough to do. Bird walk disappointing and very few animals." See all these reviews: 5n in Botswana; 4n in Namibia; 2n in Zambia

"A wonderful experience"

1 night Arrived 17 Sep 2008
"This came at the end of a superb two week holiday but was still the highlight. We would have loved to stayed here for many days.

Genuine welcome from staff at the outset and Brian and Adele appeared so at peace with what they are doing. Fantastic location and some of the best food we had eaten. One of the highlights after dinner was Brian showing us the African wild cat, genet, resident porcupines and geckos.

Accommodation great, feels a bit more like proper camping, only a little draughty and cool at night but that was only because we didn't put the flaps down because we were too tired! Useful mni bar. Enjoyed the Sundowner and the long, long walk the next day. Our guide was excellent. This is a must stay location." See all these reviews: 12n in Namibia
